A beautifully written piece on a tough subject. I give her full credit in talking about this tricky subject. I think more women need to talk about it and I think sometimes we need to see things as a pallative treatment instead of death.

A very powerful article. I have often wondered about the recent abortion legislation and its affect on fetuses with medical conditions incompatible with life. It has always been my belief that abortion should be a personal decision, not a government regulation. While I can say now that it is not my personal decision....would I believe the same thing if I learned that a fetus I was carrying had a medical condition incompatible with life? Should we require a mother carrying a child with anencephaly carry the pregnancy to term because the government legislates it?
