AH, I hate the Ezzos' material with a white-hot passion. Yet another load of crap that many Christians accept because of a titular "God."

The Ezzos and the Pearls are alike in the way that they use fear to control -- they instill unholy fear in the parents (Your child will go to hell! You will doom your own beloved child! This is the only way to save your kid!) and the parents pass on that fear via punishment and, sometimes, abuse. These authors are the definition of spiritual abusers.

I've known a lot of parents who use Ezzos' garbage and not one of them did it with bad motives. That's the hallmark of a spiritually abusive system.
