Well, technically he's right, you could make almost anything stop by requiring that. Face painting, eye glasses repairs, pumping up tires, tweezing your eyebrows, cleaning windows, treating headlice, taking x-rays, hair cuts, appendectomies, hemming pants, dental work, taking pictures, signing letters, turning on electrical appliances, stapling paper, pointing out spots on presentation slides, turning book pages, playing catch, suturing wounds, excising tumours...

It's impossible for most actions to be performed with guns, and it's impossible for any medical procedure to be performed with a gun without shooting your patient. That's just obvious. There's no point to be made there about guns or about abortions. That's like if I said "Rush Limbaugh would stop talking about taking away abortion rights if we required that he do it underwater." I'd be right, but I wouldn't have a point.

Then, he will redistribute (see that socialist word in there?) them to government doctors who are paid through a communist healthcare system. Then, the doctors will use their government guns to do all medical procedures. Then, when the death panels come in they will be able to speed everything along nicely with the government guns. I have a feeling he took a pretty common anti-abortion meme and ran with it in a really odd direction?

"Would it disturb you more if they used a gun?" with various images of guns and pregnant bellies is frequently used--it's meant to point out the "hidden" nature of what happens in abortion (inside the woman's body, inside a clinic, not as gorey as a gunshot wound would be) and imply that if guns were used on fetuses/unborn babies, that more people would be outraged about abortion.

I would be that's where he started. He says so much nutty stuff though, it's hard to say.
