If any of you get the chance, watch this movie. It's about two elderly Jewish women who survived the Holocaust and are now living in Berlin. Oma's granddaughter was planning on writing a cook book with all of her grandmother's favorite recipes, but then she realized that the stories of these two amazing women were too important not to tell. The movie is sad, and funny, and just wonderful.

 

The cook book was written, anyway, and I had the chance to meet Bella, Oma, and Alexa the granddaughter at its release yesterday. Alexa said the movie will be released on iTunes in the US, but I'm not sure when.
