ANOTHER Maxwell courtship???

She'll catch some widower with a big family and have 3-5 kids of her own. Probably one of Steve's friends or disciples.

I must have missed something. I wasn't aware that Steve had friends.

That family probably doesn't know how to function without every member playing his or her role. They don't go to the bathroom without each other, how the hell did they come up with an acceptable plan to split the family in half? Steve probably broke out in hives knowing that half his family was several hours away, outside his authority and control. How could he find it within himself to trust Terri to keep the minds and hearts of those who stayed home with her on their idol, Steve...er....the Lord?

I hope Teri had a six-pack of Diet Pepsi while he was away.

Could Sarah find a man in the nursing home? Maybe a fundie lite child of one of the elderly(hehe) is visiting their mother and sees them at the nursing home and approaches Steve.

I hope you're correct, but sadly I think they live in a patriarchal cult that views women, even if they hide it under Titus 2 crapola, as broodmares. Sarah, due to the fact that she's 30, is going to be seen as "on the shelf" by most fundie men, who are generally married off by that age. Add in Steve's controlling and exacting standards and lifestyle, I think it's a recipe for disaster. FREE SARAH!

Maybe she Stevie should contact Nathaniel Darnell. I think he and Sara are the same age, and in the same "situation".

Maybe one of the Maxwell girls is friendly with Elizabeth V. (the other female graduate). Maxwell girl couldn't attend the ceremony and party alone, so she needed a small entourage and parental supervision.

Or one of the Maxwell sons is friendly with Andrew P. (the other male graduate). Maxwell son couldn't attend the ceremony and party alone, so he needed a small entourage and parental supervision.

The Maxwell spawn are not allowed to have friends.

You'd be surprised how many single, nearing-middle-age fundie men there are! Well, at least in my neck of the woods. I could see Sarah marrying a 30-something (or even 40) kinda creepy, loser, pushover guy that Papa Maxwell could bend to his will and make into an "appropriate" suitor for Sarah. I feel sorry for her, because girls like her deserve better.

No clue about a courtship, but two things about Stevie's presence at the Duggar graduation stand out to me.

One, he only took three of his offspring with. That family probably doesn't know how to function without every member playing his or her role. They don't go to the bathroom without each other, how the hell did they come up with an acceptable plan to split the family in half? Steve probably broke out in hives knowing that half his family was several hours away, outside his authority and control. Two, the fundie world is actually much smaller than it seems to those of us who are fundie watchers, I think. They all know each other! They inter-marry (Morton-Smith cult, anyone?) and only allow their blessings/arrows to marry others with the exact right beliefs. Courtships have ended over 'doctrine'. That's actually good news because eventually, they are simply going to run out of people to breed with since they'll all be related. Their circles will shrink and like any group, they will need to go outside their clans or perish. I mean, the Morton-Smiths have significantly shrunk their pool of options for the next generation since they're all cousins twice over already.

Yeah, they do all seem to know each other. But in recent years, it seems as if the Maxwells have pulled away from the rest of the herd because nobody is fundie enough for them.

The next Maxwell courtship will probably be John or Anna. I give it a 70% chance that it will be John and perhaps a generous 30% chance it'll be Anna. I think there's a chance the Maxwells will try to "push" their girls out a little harder for courtships since it will look very badly if none of their girls get married.

Man, y'all have sharp eyes. I don't know one from the other in these pictures. I guess it wouldn't be surprising. It's like Harry Potter and finding out the Blacks are related to the Malfoys, when Sirius says, "When you only let your children marry Pureblood, everyone winds up interrelated."

I assume that eventually the paths will cross.

I wonder what a Duggar-Maxwell household would be like...

I think it would only work if the Maxwell went to live amongst the Duggars, which would mean a Maxwell girl paired with a Duggar boy. Mary and Joseph, maybe? As long as they don't name their son Jesus.

Could there be something going on with John David and Anna?

That's what I thought after finding out that Papa Max and his daughter-bots were at the Duggars'. Frankly, those two would be perfect for each other (quiet, hard workers, under-appreciated). As far as Boob is concerned, the D&P show can go on since Boys Don't Leave.

They'd have to change her name. It would be too confusing to have two Annas in the family. John doesn't seem as smug as his older brother. He just seems quiet and reserved, which could show his true intelligence. Although, wasn't he the one who suggested Jefferson Davis as a baby name? Or was that Joseph? I'm not remembering. And I can't tell them apart anyway. (I can tell the difference between Josh, Josiah, Jackson and all the girls. But the rest of the boys just look all too similar. )

Oh! I didn't even think about the possibility of two Anna Duggars. Give Miss M a taste of her own family's medicine and make HER use her full name, like the forced Anna Marie to do. Throw in Joy-Anna, Jana and Johannah and you have a giant name clusterfuck.

It's not like a fundy has never changed a kids name.

Oh. Please. Do tell me when this happened. How do you just changed a child's name? Ugh.

I still think the Maxwells were there to see someone else besides the Duggars. Not sure who and not sure why but, my guess is that some mutual friends were going to be there and Steve and crew drove up to see them.

There's a girl in picture 32 that looks like Tori Bates -- second sofa, second from the left?

She was in a picture on Anna's instagram with Jim the Soundguy at Anna's place two days before. Lawson was also defrauding in one of Smuggar's volleyball shots, so I think the Bateses (some, if not all) were also there. If it was just Lawson and Tori, this is what the Bateses did when Zach was courting; one of his sisters went with him. But Tori is a bit young; there had to be another adult sibling along, and indicates that maybe the Bank of Lawson is courting someone, unless Michaella or Princess Erin were there but well-hidden in all of those pictures...I can see the former hiding, but not the latter and he was escorting that sister for someone.

The Maxwells attendance is baffling. Yeah, I think JD and Anna would be compatible, but I don't think Steve would allow marriage to a Duggar even if Hell froze over.

The Duggars are far too worldly for the Maxwell family. I think the Duggars make Steve wince in pain at times.

The TV show would be the deal breaker. Steve hates TV as much as he hates sports.

Yeah I think he is husband shopping for the Maxwell female children.

He looks really tired and maybe even ill in today's post. The eyes are looking vague. Not a good sign. Maybe he's starting to feel the pressure. What if he is sick with a dementia or dies and those female children are still single? What is the plan then?
