She really is beautiful, but it is just so amusing that she goes on about how modest she is, and then has pictures like this. You don't have to be wearing a mini-skirt to be sexy. She would never admit it, but she wants to look sexy and to have guys want her. And that is totally normal and nothing for her to hide.

The whole "modeling for orphans" thing just comes across as icky too. I mean it's great that they are thinking of people other than their faux-modest selves, but getting all glammed up while pretending to be modest while pretending to to it for orphans in India...yeah. Kinda icky. I wonder how much cognitive dissonance these ladies feel...

These fundies go on and on about being modest, not flaunting themselves to tempt men. But most of my male friends wouldn't hesitate to meet her in the bedroom!! This is pretty extreme, even considering that lots of "modest" dressers post pictures of themselves in sexy poses and come hither expressions but it's all ok because they're covered up and in a skirt. I really don't know how can Miss Raquel assume these photos are remotely "modest" what with the make up, the pose, and the sparkly dress that might be sleeved and high-necked but is quite tight.

I don't get the whole, "I'm raising money for orphans, and to do so I'm going to post a gazillion hot looking pictures of myself." Why not take pictures of the actual orphans who need the money? They made a great idea all about themselves.

Mentions of modesty in the Bible seem to have a whole lot more to do with a sense of meekness and not drawing attention to oneself, instead of just avoiding "sexiness". I would say that the pictures linked to are pretty much the antithesis of modesty as I understand the Bible's definition.

I found this on the Harris brother's site. There is nothing wrong with wanting to be attractive to the opposite sex but admit it, for goodness sakes.

Health issues have kept our friend Elaini from India, but not from doing everything she can to help the children she loves. For 100 days she is wearing ONE dress (and borrowed accessories) to raise $50,000 for Warm Blankets’ orphan homes.

Today is Day 91 — just nine days left! For the last three months, Elaini has posted daily photos and updates on her blog — raising over $16,000. That is enough for three orphan homes, plus education and tens of thousands of meals.

But Elaini is not giving up her dream to reach $50,000, and she shouldn’t. With God, anything is possible. If just 3,000 people give $10 by texting ORPHAN to 52000, she will meet her goal. If just 1,000 people give $35, she will exceed it.

We love Elaini’s project — the heart, the creativity, and the determination to make a difference despite her health obstacles. We love the cause — helping churches provide a home, shelter, food, education, and the gospel to orphans.

I did not really understand that either, especially since the black dress was sometimes hidden under her other outfits (you could barely see a glimpse of the dress).
