latest Family Guy

Anyone watch it last night? Curious to know your thoughts.

I found it particularly heavy for a Family Guy, which is usually all pointless references and absurd humor. It almost sounded like a King Of The Hill episode.

And what bothered me a little is that the abusive boyfriend would never have beaten up Quagmire's sister in front of the family. These men keep the "good guy" appearance in front of family and friends so if the woman talks, she's not believed or the incident is minimized. But it's a cartoon, and I guess the writers had no choice to have the family know, or else there wouldn't have been a plot.

I think it's more the length of the episode, they are only allowed approximately 22 minutes per episode so they would have no time to develop the story if he wasn't an asshole in front of everyone. That kind of bugged me too, but I let it slide just because of time constraints.
