Shōgun 2024

Anyone else here watching the new Shōgun series on Hulu/FX?  I've been watching it for the past few weeks now and have enjoyed it.  As much as I enjoyed the 1980 miniseries, the 2024 miniseries is far more gritty and more realistic.  From time to time I do miss Richard Chamberlin as the original John Blackthorne but Cosmo Jarvis is a good Blackthorne as well.

And the new Blackthorne has quite the library of insults.  "Milk dribbling fuck smear" for example.  I've already filed that one away for future use regarding fuck face.

It's on my list. I also remember having a massive crush on Richard Chamberlain as a young teen. Between Shogun and Thorn Birds, he was a real heart throb back in the day. I came over to this forum to see if there were any threads on K-dramas, but will happily chat Shogun soon.
