This is my problem, I don't really want to bleach (or do the upkeep of keeping it *insert color here*).  It makes me nervous.  And it takes SO LONG to grow it out.

Although, in the reading of scripture, I wonder what is less modest...makeup (which I manage to leave the house without so many days) or blue hair?
Because I'm not sure why blue hair is such an anathema.

Small comment. For a blog titled Faith by Love, I don't see a lot of love expressed toward the people she's supposed to be soulwinning. Scanning her blog, I see a story with no sourcing about a 5yo raped by Muslim boys, a how dare Muslims expect to share a holy site with catholics (though she does appear to think Catholics are Christians, so there's that), a rant about it being ok in Islam to rape, and a critique of the structure of the Quran. There's no expression of love for the lost, or how much she cares about their everlasting souls, or anything to indicate that she sees the souls she is "winning" as anything more than the proverbial notches on the bedpost - just numbers to her. It's just all OMG MUSLIMS EBIL!!1111ONEELEVEN!!

This is what bugs me about (some) fundie stuff.  It seems to be a lifestyle of denying love, while professing love. Faith by Love indeed...

Love your friends?  Too bad, they're the wrong religion so you can't hang out with them.

Love the guy you want to marry?  Love is a choice, made after some random guy makes your dad his 'prayer partner'.

Because I can't help but think the people of Dearborn would appreciate bottles of blue Manic Panic and a good baklava more than Gideon bibles.  (mmmm, baklava.  At my old job, an awesome coworker ended up in Dearborn about once a month and would bring back a platter of assorted baklavas to share with the office. )

Since I’m walking away from dinner for a moment for breathing reasons, I’m gonna add this to what I said earlier. Her blog and YouTube (which is linked in her blog) is full of unadulterated hate for Muslims. How is she supposed to be showing the love of Christ to someone she so clearly has hate for? You have to be talking some mad shit for YouTube to shut you down!

I can attest that with both her previous pregnancies and  her current pregnancy she has never been on our official pregnancy/baby watch list. But I'm sure tempted to add her just to piss her off even more.

Is this woman colour blind?  I can only hope she went too far with the photo editing colour adjust, because if that lipstick looks that,uh, vibrant in real life then that is one scary looking individual.  Add far as the beauty within? A short scroll down her Web page reveals that she is spewing defcon 1 levels of hate speech. Wow.

Also, there should probably be some sort of scroll warning for the pictures on this thread that are not behind spoilers.  I kept startling myself just by scrolling past her photos.

Alyssa, may I make a few suggestions? I am not an expert and now as a forty something I don't wear much makeup. I think you are like me and have a cool skin tone and light eyes. I never had luck with brown eye shadows, they seem to be more suited for warm tones. It sucks because it is so popular now. I suggest plum, lilac, pinks, and greys. They would make your eyes pop. You have pretty eyes and you know what would look awesome with that liner? Charcoal, silvery shadow. I rally like a charcoal colored liner for a casual day look. If you go heavy on the eyes then tone the lip color down. I am not sure how I feel about your lip color yet but using a lip liner would be good because it would give your lips definition. Maybe if you just did mascara with those bright lips?I bet lip colors with the word berry in he name would look great on you too. Your blush here looks good, stay away from the warm orangey tones because they clash with your skin tone. 

      Hmm. I do like you with blonde hair, but it's a pain to keep it up. I hear going to a beauty school is an inexpensive way to get your hair done. The problem with dyeing your hair blonde at home is that it can end up brassy looking, and again that clashes with our cool skin tone.

Alyssa has slandered libeled me.  I may be a fat atheist but I do not have blue hair!  I did once add green streaks but they were only temporary.

Fundies never understand the difference between slander and libel.  I can only assume it is because libel is never mentioned in the Bible.

On a very serious note, that GAL report linked above demonstrates how GALs are supposed to do their jobs.  This woman really deserved to lose custody of the older children.  

Alyssa is a Pearl follower too.  [Daughter] reported that Mother beat her on the soles of her feet until they were bloody for refusing to do "outreach."  This is a sign of an experienced abuser (or Pearl follower) wanting to conceal the evidence from outside observers.  Beatings on the bottoms of the feet hurt like the devil and the results are less obvious than facial bruising or bruising on the limbs.

Thank God they were placed with Father and that Mother has been told to desist from beating her children.

We are hair twins! Sadly no blue hair for me, so Alyssa, you need to start correcting your post.

      I think that sounds like a pretty color. My daughter's friend put something temporary in her hair and it was a cool mahogany color. 

        A few years ago my daughter's wanted to do this Kool Aid hair dye on the ends. We were told to really double up on the Kool Aid because it didn't take well, and washes out quickly. We did a raspberry color and a blue color. The color in he two eldest girls was nice and subtle. My youngest daughter's hair absorbed it all up and she looked very patriotic. I did it in layers so she looked like a bomb pop. It did not fade one little bit. We had to cut her hair in a bob. 

           I recently did blue manic panic but it washed out of her hair quickly. I bought a different brand and we will do the underside an orchid purple and hot pink, I even use foil like highlight. But we will do it closer to the first day of school because she wants to look good her first day of  Jr.High. It's really just a fun way to spend time with her individually. It gets hard to do that with four kids.

When she speaks of her "Christian family" (complete with "Bible thumping husband <---her words), why does she not mention the children she lost custody of?  Does she not consider them her children anymore?  What kind of mother does that?

And beating them on the soles of their feet?  I mean, what the everlasting fuck?  She's worried about people with blue hair (personally, mine is a mix of black and gray), but she's a child abuser?  Really?  I don't care what color her hair is, or how much clown paint she smears on her face, but I genuinely worry for the baby daughter she still has custody of.  I hope social services keeps a close watch on her.  Lord have mercy.
