THe picture is photoshopped.
But I still rather like it.  Maybe it can go on his white house ID card.

@47of74- I'm in Iowa too.  Stunned that the tangerine hemorrhoid and the De Vos minions (Grassley/Ernst) & King are revered for making Iowa better (topic of Friday family dinner).    Trump embodies the Peter Principle- he was promoted (elected) to his highest level of incompetence.

@PsyD2013 Greetings from Dubuque!  Tangerine Hemorrhoid, lol.  Adding that to the list of insults to use against Donnie the Stupid.

I wish to Christ Harkin had stayed for one more term.  Then Braley would have probably had run for another term here and might have kept the 1st district in the D camp.  As it is now I feel like I have no representation in Congress at all with Senators Breadbags and Lawn Mower and Rep. Bum.

I liked this article in Politico: "Donald the Weak". Here's the beginning of the article:

Quote

Donald Trump ran for president boasting of his supposedly legendary negotiating and management skills while promising that he alone could fix the problems ailing the country. But three weeks into his presidency, a combination of inexperience, lack of attention to detail and an engaged opposition inside and outside the government have left him as the weakest new president in modern American history.

Trump’s governing style to date can only loosely be called management. He makes decisions quickly, often without consulting relevant experts or even his own appointees. He reads almost nothing, at most a few bullet points—often ripped straight from cable TV—that cannot possibly capture the nuance of complicated policy issues. When his hastily considered decisions backfire in inevitable ways, he doubles down and attacks any critics who point out either the folly or impracticability of his orders.

As with the bellowing Wizard of Oz, however, those boisterous attacks merely hide the weakness of the man behind the curtain, weakness that has already been exploited by both his staff and outside interests.

It's too bad that Branch Trumpvidians don't actually read websites like Politico. Of course, most of them wouldn't believe it, even if they read it.

I haven't seen any indication of gang members, drug dealers and the like being removed. All I've seen on the news is hard-working lower-income parents being ripped away from their American children!

I keep remembering a photo from a few weeks ago in Scotland of a man holding a sign which said, "YER MAW WAS AN IMMIGRANT YA ROASTER!" (I don't know what "ROASTER" means in Scotland, but I don't think it was meant as a cooking pan!) Apparently this fact is conveniently forgotten by the Trump family.

A roaster is scottish slang for Someone who is making a complete idiot* of themselves. Perfect choice of words haha!

I would expect that Trump, as a white man, considers himself to be descended from 'the right kind of immigrants' A phrase I have sadly heard a number of times over here in the UK a fair few times.

*idiot can be replaced with cunt which is probably more appropriate.

Yeah that was a good read about the Tangerine Hemorrhoid.

This line stood out to me....

Republicans in Congress seem willing to humiliate themselves in the face of his antics for now

That made me think of how pornhub had to beg users to stop uploading the Brazil v. Germany soccer game highlights to their site as their public humiliation channel was full...

Maybe Republicans are in to public humiliation.  Wouldn't surprise me knowing some of the weird, wide stanced things other Republicans are in to.

As if we needed another reason to love J.K. Rowling...she has been in a Twitter war with Piers Morgan since he spewed a bunch of idiotic crap defending Agent Orange on Bill Maher's show Friday night. There's a NSFW video clip of Jim Jeffries telling Piers to "f" off multiple times in the article. I can't copy all the Tweets, but they are worth a look.

Probably my favorite is when she wrote:

Chelsea Clinton's reply is great, too!

Does anyone else think Trump is looking more unhealthy as each day passes? I know the presidency ages folks, but damn, it has only been three weeks and he is looking rough. I really don't think he can make it four years.

I honestly believe he will not make it to six months, much less four years.

Just came home from a town hall with Jamie Raskin. Well more like a pep rally, but still seeing all those like minded people in one room gives hope.  Granted he was speaking at a UU church so an anti Orange Julius Caesar crowd is to be expected.  It did bother me that most of the people in the room were white.  That needs to change. White liberals (myself included) need to get out of their comfort zone.  Not an easy task I know. And I really don't know where I'm going with this. Just that we, the resistance, need to band together no matter our color, ethnic backgrounds, religion.  Hell it is miracle I was even there at all.  Getting to the point where I hate even going outside.. I'm becoming that much of an introvert.  Mr. Onekid really urged me to go.  Glad I did.  The struggle goes on.

Trump's meeting with Justin Trudeau tomorrow.  Expect lots of negative tweets about Canada tomorrow night.

http://www.cnn.com/2017/02/12/politics/justin-trudeau-donald-trump-us-canada-pm/index.html

It's a good thing Trump doesn't like Michael Moore. In 1995, he wrote and directed Canadian Bacon.  If Trump were a fan, he might get some ideas from the movie.  The opening song is Tex Ritter's "God Bless America Again" (sound familiar?).

John Oliver will now be running ads during shows Trump watches to educate him on important subjects. It is funny, but at the same time very, very sad that we have gotten to this point.

http://variety.com/2017/tv/news/john-oliver-donald-trump-cable-news-tv-ads-1201986428/

Quote

Oliver said he intended to run commercials on Washington D.C. area cable systems between 8:30 a.m. and 9 a.m. during Fox News Channel’s “Fox & Friends,” CNN’s “New Day” and MSNBC’s “Morning Joe” that would educate Trump on facts of which Oliver believes he is not aware. The commercials, designed to look like a direct-response medical commercial touting help for people who use catheters, will instead offer remedial help on subjects like the nuclear triad and African geography.

If it isn't evident by now that the Tangerine Hemorrhoid wants to wipe his ass with the Constitution, here's further evidence.

politicususa.com/2017/02/12/trump-senior-adviser-claims-trumps-power-questioned.html

Quote

Perhaps there is someone left in the world who isn’t aware of Donald Trump’s troubling relationship with the Constitution. If so, this is for you.

Here we have on Face the Nation Donald Trump’s senior adviser Stephen Miller telling the country, “The powers of the president to protect our country are very substantial and will not be questioned.”

That’s not how this works. That’s not how any of this works.

Now, for fun, imagine if someone in the Obama White House had said this. Imagine the conservative freak out. They took the streets with loaded assault weapons when Obama wanted to give them access to affordable healthcare, because they felt it was way too much power for the government to run a marketplace.

Of course the orange fornicate head just loves Miller now....

If this is true, then it's absolutely disgusting! And isn't it sad that I'm not surprised at this pettiness?

http://sacramentodispatch.com/trump-denies-ca-plea-for-federal-funds-cites-sanctuary-cities/

Quote

[A highranking unnamed] source is quoted as saying:

“The President has no incentive in helping the state of California.  The state harbors more illegal immigrants than any other state and has multiple sanctuary cities that violate federal laws.   The state very publicly supported Hillary Clinton throughout the election and the President views the state as being responsible for his loss in the popular vote, something he has had trouble with accepting.  They have also recently threatened to leave the Union through their #CalExit campaign, and the President sees this as an opportunity to let them deal with the consequences of their exit.  There is a sickness within the liberals in this country that they are not willing to address.  Until they understand what ails them can they hope to find the cure.  This is a step in the right direction in finding the #CureForWellness. “

Not 100% sure if that's an actual news site or not.

It would not surprise me though if it is true.

I suspected as much, but as you say, if it is true, it doesn't surprise. And isn't that  in and of itself quite telling?

I just found this article, which I found very insightful. It's an interview with Garry Kasparov, in which he compares Putin and the Tangerine Toddler.
http://www.vox.com/conversations/2017/2/11/14577834/garry-kasparov-putin-trump

His answer to the question "What can Trump opponents do?"

Quote

You have to reinforce the institutions, steadily and legally, and work through them. If you go too far, and react violently, it will only play into the hands of the Trump administration, which is already portraying all opposition as paid agitators and other ridiculousness straight from Putin’s playbook. When I talk about these things on Twitter or Facebook, I immediately receive a bunch of “Here too!” responses from people living in other authoritarian regimes, from Venezuela to Vietnam.

Riots will only frighten the “moderate middle” you will need as allies sooner or later. If Trump convinces them with lies that the opposition is controlled by dangerous thugs, you’re going to have eight years of Trump and another of his kind to follow. Stick to the facts, repeat them boldly and frequently, so his supporters see the would-be emperor has no bathrobe!

The courts are important, but things won’t really change unless enough Republicans start to see Trump as a liability to their fundraising and reelection chances. That could be quite soon if he can’t fulfill his many campaign promises. Making him look like a loser is crucial. Either the GOP will turn on him or he will be chastened and more likely to compromise. If a demagogue succeeds in claiming credit for wins and scapegoating his enemies for losses, he’s very hard to stop.

Trump will continue to push the limits, to find the cracks in the system that constrains him. America is finding out the hard way that much of its government is based on tradition and the honor system, and not explicit laws. There will be a crisis every day.

Everyone must do what they can themselves and not wait for others to act. If you want change, you have to initiate action, even at a personal level that might seem insignificant. As the motto of Soviet dissidents went: “Do what you must, and so be it.”

Kasparov weighs in on much, much more though, so I heartily recommend reading the whole article, even though it's quite lengthy.

That John Oliver clip terrifies me. Mostly because I know so many who agree with Trump on this. That Brietbart, Infowars and Drudge are legit.

I am so disgusted by these people and their ignorance.

Of course he is overwhelmed by the job as POTUS, it is  a real job, he's never had one and this one is the most stressful, most complex, most demanding job in the world.  Not only does he have NO experience in government, he doesn't even have a 9th-grader's understanding of how our government functions. Nor, apparently, does anyone around him who he has chosen as advisors.  This job requires someone who is intelligent, patient, logical, charismatic, intuitive, hard-working, caring, all characteristics Cheeto lacks. I hope like hell he doesn't make it the full four years, but I can't see him leaving voluntarily; it's not in his nature, that would make him a LOSER, and that's the absolute worst for Donny-boy. He would totally destroy this planet before he would allow himself to be branded with that label!

Sorry for rambling, got carried away. . .

I don't necessarily agree here.  I think he's looking hard for a way to extricate himself from this situation.  He doesn't want to do this for 4 more years.  He'll find a way to do it and still come out looking great to his supporters.  Like he said during his campaign, he could walk into the street and gun someone down and his supporters would still worship him.  It probably won't take much effort to find a way out and still look god like to those who voted for him.  I don't put much stock in their intelligence and neither does he.  Furthermore, the Republicans aren't going to stop him (hell, they'd encourage him and even help him) since Pence is who they really want in there anyway.  Unfortunately, I think Pence might be worse.  Trump is an idiot who doesn't understand the system and is not interested in trying to understand it.  His stupidity and lack of self control has him running into roadblocks right and left.  Pence on the other hand is much smarter and way more cunning.  If he had released the immigration ban, it would have been done weeks later as he would have run it through everyone and their brother to make it challenge proof.  Pence doesn't have an issue with delayed gratification like Trump does.

For someone who bitched incessantly about Hillary and the Democrats not caring about information security, the Tangerine Toddler certainly doesn't seem to grasp the concept of security.  Leaving a classified lockbag unsecured around non-cleared people was just the start. Now, he's discussing national security in the middle of the dining room at his golf club. Good grief.

Quote

Sunday night, CNN reported details of the moment that Trump, joined by Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe, learned about a missile launch in North Korea. Trump and Abe were enjoying dinner at Trump’s exclusive Mar-a-Lago Club in Florida at the time, but, CNN reported, began to discuss the details of this international incident right there at their table.

“As Mar-a-Lago’s wealthy members looked on from their tables, and with a keyboard player crooning in the background,” CNN’s Kevin Liptak reported, “Trump and Abe’s evening meal quickly morphed into a strategy session, the decision-making on full view to fellow diners, who described it in detail to CNN.”

Earlier in the week, Trump had been criticized for leaving intelligence documents vulnerable to people without security clearance. Sen. Martin Heinrich (D-N.M.) noticed that the president kept the key in a secured bag while hosting people in the Oval Office, which is a bit like leaving your house keys in your front door while you’re having a party in your backyard. There’s no indication that anyone saw anything confidential in this incident, but this, Heinrich suggested, was “Classified 101.”

We have to take it on faith that Abe was enjoying his time with Trump.  It must have been tedious after awhile, but there's probably an element of that in all state visits.

You know what? I don't care what Breitfart looks like. I don't care how Conjob looks. That is not important at all. They can be asswipe ugly or gloriously pretty. Makes no difference. It's their terrifying acusations and their white-supremasist, bigoted, patriotic, xenofobic, racist and mysoginist ideology that is so nauseating and dangerous.

I'd rather focus on that, instead of pointing out the deficiancies in their outward appearance, because it only detracts from what's really important.
