TN student turned away from senior year due to age

This is crazy. I hope schools in my state don't start doing this kind of thing. The statewide cut off is July 31. My youngest was born August 1. There are NO exceptions to start earlier, unless you can find a private school that will accept a child who turns 5 after the cutoff. My daughter will be 6 when she starts kindergarten because of this and will turn 18 before her senior year even starts. With states trending to earlier bday cutoffs for starting kindergarten, this seems absolutely ridiculous.
