Has anyone seen this movie? Thoughts/opinions?

 

Personally, I loved it. Although I can see how it could be, as the Brits say, a 'bit Marmite' (as in you either love it or hate it).

I haven't seen it yet, but last week one of the staff at my mom's nursing home stuck a random DVD in the player in the dining room while I was visiting. It was a bootleg copy of Django. I left soon after, so I don't know if it stayed in, but I don't think it could have gone over too well with the residents.

Pulp Fiction is the only movie of his that I've ever liked. The subject of this one just gives me an icky feeling. On a different note, this reminded me of a situation involving my ultra prudish mom. When I was a teen she rented Mandingo thinking it was about the antebellum South. For those of you who don't know it's porn and my straight-laced, Christian mother fucking flipped when the movie got "interesting". She was just horrified and understood the look the cashier gave her. I never let her forget it 8-) Fun times!
