I have not seen much on JW's getting caught. Not sure if there was victim blaming but there sure was Vatican imitation going on. Of course the we think this is horrible and would never allow it crap.

But I am glad she is getting some closure as most victims don't.

The JWs mistake was to put their policy in writing. The policy could then be entered into evidence.

The JWs attorney said this after the verdict:

McCabe said there is a lot of dispute regarding the plaintiff's accusations.

"But if she was, in fact, abused then we feel horrible, and hope she can make a full recovery and lead a normal life," he said.

If he was like that in front of the jury, then no wonder they awarded damages the way they did. As one of my attorney friends said after reading that, "Way to piss off a jury."
