I have often wondered what was wrong with the people in one of the towns mentioned in the article. Unfortunate circumstances led to my living among their descendants and let me tell you, crazy really does cover it. Not only did it start a long time ago, but was actually perpetrated by the release of the inhabitants of several asylums in the sixties and seventies. But, that's another story.

 

Anyway, gotta love how some things never change. Enjoy the little bit of history from my neck of the woods.
