I once read a pretty quietly-done, but still sad article, about a couple with triplets, but no publicity deals. They were taking care of them on their own, no huge nappy donations, no in-home help, no special arrangements for larger accommodation. Also, black. I don't think the article ever explicitly said "how weird that people aren't so interested in the black triplets", but it was there. Gotta say, this:

didn't really strike me as the strongest argument. The assumption that she was going to use public assistance was based on the fact that she was on public assistance.
