Where in the World is Doug Phillips? Part 13

I wonder if Kelly & her 2nd husband had to attend one of these "how to be married" seminars before tying the knot.

I'd also love to know how the other Brown kids are doing today. Blair, who in her 20s married 17 year old Taylor Tsantles and popped kid after kid after kid. Claudia, the youngest who pretty much was never mentioned. And of course Mr. (Scott's own words...) David Brown, the heir to Scott's dynasty, who started building his very own house at the age of thirteen and married his childhood friend (whose name escapes me now) who, surprise surprise, started popping out kid after kid after kid, too.

Because he will totally spin it in a way that makes him seem so knowledgeable and godly. That’s what all these men are good at. Manipulation.

Yes. There are always reasons for if it didn't work out. The people involved are blamed as the problem not the cult-like teaching.

It's weird how it's never the ideology that is flawed or incorrect.  No, it's definitely that people are doing it wrong, because if they were doing it right, it would work.

(I still feel bad for Kelly, frankly.)

Liberty wrote an absolutely breathtaking article on the last 10 years of her charity, VF 2.0. She reflects the perfect white Christian nationalist vision of masculinity. How turning to Christianity can cure your ptsd, and how her jumping into Normandy pretending to be an SOE female, will cure the current world conflicts and awaken us all from our amnesia. I wonder if she’s even slightly aware of the monsters and abusers she’s surrounded herself with and supported. Or the how her and her family’s bs teachings have resulted in literal children being abused. Bert is something all right. I’m not sure I would call it valiant or courageous. Something more along the lines of a “pick me.” The delusion in this woman is unreal.

This! That family is full of fakes. If Liberty truly wants to be valiant and courageous, she can walk right up the recruiting office.. they even allow women in special operation positions now! Hell her or any of her siblings! Reminds me of some Jay-Z lyrics “You know the type: loud as a motorbike: but wouldn’t bust a grape in a fruit fight.” 😂

If I were more technologically savvy I would quote the FJ user in regards to how Operation Meatball got its name.. this fits too perfectly (in the most disgusting way possible) with Bert’s facade.

I’m also curious if Liberty, or anyone in her family, is aware of how much VF teachings/christian nationalist/quiverfull bs aligns with with Nazi Germany.

NPR posted an article a few days ago how children in Gaza are dying from their injuries when they could have made a full recovery. Because they have no supplies to treat the wounds, etc. Liberty vaguely tiptoed around the subject in her post. Could you imagine if they took all the money used to celebrate the DDay 80th anniversary and sent supplies to the children in Gaza? But then they would have to forgo the drinking and celebrating. Bert wouldn’t be able to receive the attention and validation she missed out on from her parents as a child.

Liberty's entire Operation Meatball schick gives me major cringe. Very very very major cringe. Always has,

I've been to Normandy. It is a very solemn, very moving place, The graveyard made me cry.

Liberty is using the D-Day anniversary to grift and have a yet another vacation in Paris (while cos-playing as a paratrooper/ 1940s WW2 gal).

Shame on her. Shame. Has she no sense of decency?

Liberty’s free e-book: How to Talk to a WW2 Veteran: "101" As the Saying Goes

Liberty!!! We know how to have a genuine conversation with vets. What we really want is the “How to travel the world tax free! The Phillips guide to grifting. How to go from a stay at home daughter to baecations with divorced dads in Paris!”  e-book 😉😉

Looks like there's still a bit of the wide stance left in Peter:

I'm sorry, but D-Day still deserves remembrance and has nothing to do with Gaza.  None of the money that rightfully goes to the memories of those heroes at Normandy should have anything to do with Gaza.  If you want to get money for Gaza, cry to the extremely wealthy nations like Saudi Arabia, UAE, Qatar, etc that don't give a flying f*#K about their brothers in Palestine.

Liberty Philips is a grifter, but don't let that take away from our heroes and what they have done. Don't take even a cent away from the 80th remembrance of D-Day and the unbelievable courage heroes had to fight evil during that time.

The lady looks like a fun person who knows how to enjoy life. She sure as hell doesn't look like a fundie! Hopefully his kids were able to attend the wedding.

I do feel for Kelly Brown Bradrick. Her life is a prime example what's wrong in patriarchal lifestyle. But I also feel for Peter. He was probably told from very young age how to behave, what to do, and who to become, and was never asked about what _he_ wanted to be. So he became VF's golden boy who married the epitome of a SAHD and got six kids with pompous names in a short time. Yet he probably was deeply unhappy with his life, at least based on accusations of multiple affairs with women and men, too. Maybe this is the first time in his life he's allowed to be himself and marry whoever he wants.

There is that photo of young Peter sitting with DPIAT in a pew. Peter looks uncomfortable and as if he putting up with something and someone, somewhere he sooooooooo doesn't want to be,

Compare that to the similar back seat photo with his new bride.

I do not completely disagree with you and I could have been more specific in my post. For funding, I particularly mean Liberty and the others like her that ride the curtails of our veterans to essentially (in my opinion) have a vacation in France, Washington DC, and all the other places she’s been shacked up with her boyfriend under the guise of “helping veterans.” And is what she is doing wrong? In my opinion it’s wrong. Others may not agree. Coming from a family (the Phillips) who profited off of pushing purity culture on others, it’s hypocrisy at it’s finest. I think her charity, any charity should be transparent about the funding and let people make an informed decision of if they want to support her cause. Gaza does not equal the 80th anniversary—but in her article she justified how she could travel when there’s so many horrible things happening around the world. It’s too vague and she tiptoed around it. She used these horrible things going on in the world to prove that we have “forgotten,” that we have “amnesia,” and to justify why she should go parachuting. Honoring our nations heroes is one thing, walking around Paris and drinking with your boyfriend is another.

R.J. Rushdooney's page is up on Cinema of Wonder. I've never read any of his stuff, but skimming through these quotes I can definitely see where some VF themes come from. I particularly liked the small bibliography at the end, because I think most people are unfamiliar with him and how deeply his teachings have run in American evangelicalism.

A note to whomever is running that page: I think you may have mis-labeled this section:
