Don't forget DeLayNee! And yes it's Tiffany Nelson.

I distinctly remember them making her an instagram in utero.

That has me rolling my eyes like your avatar.

Having money doesn’t necessarily translate into living lavishly. Living humble lives and being intentional about money is often what got people to become millionaires in the first place (Random but interesting study on millionaires)
Now, did Josh make all that money on his own? Not a chance in hell. It’s probably Jim Blob laundering TLC money.

Very true. My grandmother is technically a millionaire. When my grandfather died back in 2016 they had just over a million in liquid assets. Not to mention the 4 properties they own. My grandfather had had a very good job with IBM and they lived off his Pension. My grandmother's income had alwasy gone directly into the bank and they invested to much when they were young we were able to live very comfortably. However, they never appeared to be people who had lots of money. My grandfather always drove a modest car. Their home they live in is a two family in a middle class neighborhood. They didn't own lots of flashy stuff or dress particularly expensively. But, my grandmother's investment prowess and her frugal nature (she was born the youngest of 9 in 1930 to Italian Immigrants) is how they became Millionaires to begin with.

Supposedly, Michelle always liked the name “Hannah,” but, y’know, J-theme.

Which I get, but then why not name Joy Anna "Johannah" and then name Hannie one of the dozens of J names they hadn't used in any form yet (Julie, Jacinda, Jasmine, Jacqueline).

Same question with Jinger. Never understood it.

Apparently Michelle loved the name Ginger and kept the theme.  I have a totally normal J name they never used and I'm grateful.  If they had I'd have heard Michelle say my name in that voice...no.

Yep. A bestselling book that outlines these details is “The Millionaire Next Door”, an excellent read. People don’t realize there may be millionaires in the midst of their average neighborhoods. But the book explains millionaires aren’t all flashy; many drive used cars, don’t carry credit card debt, live within their means, ect. There’s also an expression “Don’t walk on the backs of your shoes” which millionaires often live by. What it means is you take care of what you have, like house, car and appliance maintenance and repairs, mending clothes, etc. You don’t abuse or neglect the material things you own. They last longer saving you money.

Millionaires in your midst could be the plumber, dry cleaner, or in my case, probably the tire guy who also does some car repairs. He does zero advertising but is constantly booked, has a small, non-descript shop which I don’t even know if he has a sign out front, and just churns out the product and repairs. I almost haven’t met a person in the valley where I live who does not go to him. A decent, honest, low-key fellow who never steers you wrong, no pun intended!

Btw, I always loved the name and spelling of Jinger.

As soon as I read this I lost all confidence in this person. How could he see what Josh was watching on his phone, in his car, from a vehicle behind him. Most cars have some degree of tinted windows on the the rear. Add to the fact that there would be seats and headrests in his line of site as well. I just don't believe it.

At night when I’m behind a vehicle at a red light I can sometimes definitely see what they’re doing on their phone. If he had it mounted on his windshield it’s not a stretch at all.

Just an FYI for you thirsty tea drinkers out there some cousin of Anna's said on TikTok that his NDA expires today and he seems excited about that.

Also, the midwife Jill worked with (the one in trouble for the death of her grandchild) - her son is on TikTok (identity verified by Clint on Reddit) saying that at one point Duggars donated a bunch of computers with deleted porn and so he kinda blames Josh for his porn addiction since that was when he saw this stuff at age 10.

The weirdest thing to me is if a 10 year old could see the images it seems like someone forgot to empty the recycle bin.  Oh Anna, I guess "at least I have a husband" is bad about taking out the trash in any context.

Mr. CL had an uncle who was not quite a millionaire, but when he passed, he had an estate valued in the high six figures.  He and his wife had no children, but they had lifelong best friends whose kids and grandkids were their extended family; they lived in the same small house in a working-class neighborhood for 50+years; they bought what they wanted, but their wants were simple; they didn't travel unless it was to visit family; their one indulgence was cars--they bought a new one very few years and paid cash, and they always traded in the old ones.  When Uncle passed (Aunt predeceased him), he divided his estate between the best friends' family and his surviving siblings (one of whom was Mr. CL's dad).  Everyone was surprised at the numbers because at no point in their lives did they present as anything but working class people who had a simple and comfortable life.

Same question with Jinger. Never understood it.

I never understood why it took them SO LONG to get to Jennifer. Like - when I think J names - I think of Jennifer pretty quickly.
But I never understood the Joy Anna/JoHannah thing either. I think I remember them explaining it to someone - that Joy ANNA is different than JoHANNAH - and I remember thinking "if you have to explain it this much - it's not that different..."

Nor is either very different from Jana.  Jana, Joy-Anna, and Johanna all overlap a lot syllabically and would probably be pretty difficult to tell apart if being hollered sans middle name.

I doubt JB cared whether they sounded different, as they're all basically J for Jim Bob*.

* I guess Josh is now J for Jail.

Names and nicknames are strange. My dad is Charles. His friends all call him Charlie. He calls himself Charlie. His parents, however, always called him Charles, and my mother has never called him anything but Charles. Her family calls him Charles, except her brothers-in-law. My sisters and I introduce him as Charles, but my sister's husband calls him Charlie. It's weird.

My dad had seven brothers.  My mom told me that when they were first married, she thought there were more brothers because many of them had more than one name.  Some had nicknames, and my grandma called a couple of them by their middle names.  I don't know why.  Then again, I have a nephew named Michael.  Everyone in the family calls him Michael.  His friends call him Mike.  I believe his wife also calls him Mike.  It sounds so strange to me, but maybe that's what he prefers.  Regardless, he will always be known as Michael within the family.

Johanna fits in equally well there.  She has the Jana, Joy-Anna, Johanna similarities and is one of the Jos.

I always wonder why none of the kids had “traditional” “J” names such as:

Jessica

Jacqueline

Julia/Julie

Jane

or

Jeffrey

Justin

Jeremy

Some of the girls names leave me scratching my head.

Anna’s tiktok cousins handle is ‘k.lube’. Waiting to see what he has to say when his NDA expires today. 👀 He does show pictures of what definitely looks like him as a child at their wedding so this could be fun. He did call her a ‘queen’ in his comments though and idk what to make of that .
