Do I even need to comment on his stupidity anymore, or shall I just let it speak for itself?

Might as well comment, seeing as we're on a snark board. :)

Regarding his orange look...if he thinks he looks orange, but people nearby don't look orange, it should tell him something.  Apparently, it doesn't.  That's the real problem.

My proposed solution to the vanity issue is for him to quit his "job", stay home (or in jail), use all the tanner he wants, but don't look in the mirror.  If he doesn't see it it isn't there, right?

He doesn't look at other people, he only looks at himself.

More brilliant quotes from the EPA announcement:

"People are flushing toilets 10 times, 15 times, as opposed to once. " Well, maybe he does because he is so full of shit, but my low-flow toilet works just fine, thanks.

"...you have many states where they have so much water that it comes down — it's called rain — that they don't know, they don't know what to do with it."  Who talks like that??? He sounds like an essay written by a third grader.

"...in areas where there's tremendous amounts of water, where the water rushes out to sea because you could never handle it, and you don't get any water. You turn on the faucet; you don't get any water. They take a shower and water comes dripping out. It's dripping out — very quietly dripping out...You go into a new building or a new house or a new home, and they have standards, 'Oh, you don’t get water.' You can't wash your hands, practically, there's so little water comes out of the faucet"  His resort properties, maybe?  I have seriously never experienced this in the U.S.

Is anyone - ANYONE - complaining that low-flow water fixtures are a major problem in the U.S.?  Why on earth is he focused on this?  My guess is he simply wants to undo anything a Democrat has done.  And, of course, this looks like he is actually doing something other than watching Fox and sending out insane tweets.  We will be decades undoing the harm this asshole is foisting on our country.

I have read that the first low-flow toilets often needed more than one flush(although not 12-15), but they’ve been substantially improved since then.

A great piece by conservative columnist Max Boot: "To GOP hypocrites: I never want to hear about Hillary Clinton’s emails again"

Spoiler

If there were a global competition for insincerity, President Trump would have won the equivalent of an Oscar, a gold medal, a Ballon d’Or and a Vince Lombardi Trophy combined. You simply could not be more two-faced; it is not humanly possible. His picture belongs in the dictionary under the very word “hypocrisy.”

Trump, recall, spent much of 2016 leading chants of “Lock her up!” because Hillary Clinton made the mistake of employing a private server for some of her official emails as secretary of state. Trump still routinely refers to the former first lady and secretary of state as “Crooked Hillary” as if she had actually committed a crime. Never mind that the Justice Department decided not to prosecute and that a lengthy State Department investigation, completed during the Trump administration, found “no persuasive evidence of systemic, deliberate mishandling of classified information.”

And yet, while castigating Clinton for supposedly mishandling classified information, Trump has been engaging in far more egregious examples of the very same sin.

He began his presidency, in February 2017, by reviewing classified documents and having a highly sensitive discussion about North Korea with the Japanese prime minister not in a SCIF (Sensitive Compartmented Information Facility) but in front of fellow diners on a packed terrace at Mar-a-Lago.

In May 2017, he revealed top-secret intelligence to the Russian foreign minister and Russian ambassador during a meeting in the Oval Office, thereby potentially blowing a source of information about the Islamic State. In 2018, he reportedly discussed with wealthy donors at a Manhattan fundraiser the classified details of a battle between U.S. forces and Russian mercenaries in Syria.

In October of this year, Trump revealed details about the raid on Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi that, as NBC News noted, “were either highly classified or tactically sensitive, and their disclosure by the president made intelligence and military officials cringe.” And, according to a White House whistleblower, Trump overruled the opposition of security officials to grant top-secret security clearances to Jared Kushner and Ivanka Trump.

But all these security breaches pale by comparison with Trump’s promiscuous use of a cellphone to conduct top-secret conversations. My Post colleagues Paul Sonne, Josh Dawsey, Ellen Nakashima and Greg Miller report that “Trump has routinely communicated with his personal lawyer, Rudolph W. Giuliani, and other individuals speaking on cellphones vulnerable to monitoring by Russian and other foreign intelligence services.”

This shocking security breach became clear from the cellphone records obtained by the House Intelligence Committee during its impeachment investigation. There are numerous calls between Giuliani and a blocked number listed as “-1” that is widely suspected to belong to Individual 1, i.e., the president of the United States. We also know, of course, that Ambassador Gordon Sondland talked with Trump on an unsecure cellphone from the middle of a restaurant in Kyiv.

The Post notes that Trump resisted the efforts of former White House chief of staff John F. Kelly to stop using a cellphone and to employ only White House landlines because he didn’t want his aides to have a log of his calls. It is hard to imagine why Trump would be so paranoid about being monitored by his own aides if he weren’t doing something very wrong — which, as we know from the impeachment proceedings, he clearly is.

Trump has now at least been persuaded to use a more secure government cellphone, but it doesn’t matter if he is routinely conversing with people like Giuliani or Sondland who are employing ordinary cellphones: The security of a call is only as good as its weakest link. It’s a sure bet that any halfway competent foreign intelligence service is monitoring the cellphones of people close to Trump such as Giuliani and Sondland — and the Russians are undoubtedly all over them with both physical and electronic surveillance when they visit Ukraine, which Giuliani is doing again this week.

According to The Post, John Sipher, former deputy chief of Russia operations at the CIA, and other sources said “that it is so likely that Russia tracked the calls of Giuliani and others that the Kremlin probably knows more now about those conversations than impeachment investigators.” This opens up the possibility that Trump, who may already be vulnerable to Russian kompromat because of his past business dealings and his campaign’s collusion with the Kremlin during the 2016 campaign, might be vulnerable to blackmail again because of his attempts to force Ukraine to intercede on his behalf in the U.S. campaign. This also gives Russia invaluable leverage it can use in its negotiations with Ukraine at a time when many Ukrainians are already worried that, as the New York Times put it, President Volodymyr Zelensky “may be too willing to make concessions to Moscow” because he has “no clear American diplomatic backing.”

The only thing more appalling than Trump’s cavalier disregard for the basic requirements of handling classified information is the complete lack of concern by his followers who were once so exercised by Clinton’s far more innocuous security lapses. They are championship hypocrites too. I never want to hear about Hillary’s emails again as long as I live.

This is scary (Thread)

So Putin's emissary is getting an Oval Office meeting with Trump and Pompeo just as Trump is getting impeached and Nancy Pelosi is saying " everything leads to Putin". How subtle! /s

One can only conclude that Trump is getting his orders on what to gift to Putin before he gets ousted.

I have two different low-flow toilets. One of them flushes just fine, one flush is sufficient. The other one needs two flushes almost always. But two flushes is a whole lot different from 12-15 flushes.

Trump is (as usual) an idiot.

His racism can not be contained, even when speaking to Jewish people.

His penchant for breaking the law can not be contained, and he brings up his re-election politics during a speech in his official capacity.

His stupidity can not be contained, and he openly insults people while admonishing them to vote for him.

I really wonder why they did not get up and leave when he said these atrocious things.

He’s taking l’etat c’est moi quite seriously.

What you mean by "even when"?  Genuinely curious.

I'm Jewish and have no illusions about his loyalties.  I'm pretty sure he doesn't care what religion his supporters are, and is clearly antagonistic toward non-supporters...but he seems to especially have it in for Jewish folks who won't leghump/vote for him.  That leads me to conclude that his "friendship" is conditional.  Not a new thing, historically, and we know where that can lead.

ETA I am not fraurosena, but I can think of some reasons for those remarks to be a bit unexpected, that maybe aren't the same as hers though.

Well, most Jews don't have a skin hue that's darker than white, that means they aren't rapist bad hombres coming to the US with caravans of illegals, nor inner cities murderous gang members, nor lazy welfare queens, just to sum up some the most stupid and evil racist things he spouts. tRump's racist tropes about Jews are well known too but he's a bit less upfront with them, he usually hides behind slightly more cryptic racist-speak attacking "globalism" and George Soros. Also, here he wasn't simply talking with some Jewish people, he was speaking in front of the Israeli American Council. Let's not forget he was Bibi's best friend before Bibi lost the elections. He loves Israel's reich wing politics and he has supported in more ways than one conservative Israelis in their war against bad brown skinned Muslim Palestinians.

So while he is a racist PoS and has repeatedly said racist things towards Jews, he generally manages to be less upfront than this. And the use of blatantly insulting racist tropes was unexpected seen that he was meeting potentially important political allies. Clearly he's too stupid to behave even during just one speech. Or, very possibly, he can't see anything bad with what he said, since he worships riches and thinks that being rich is the closest thing to perfection.

I meant that he's blatantly being racist, dissing the Jews in their faces, right in front of them... in is official capacity. So my comment wasn't so much about Jewish people, but the fact that he's overtly making racist remarks about the very people he's racist about. If he had been speaking to the Hispanic caucus and making racist remarks about Hispanics, I would have said, "even when speaking to Hispanics".

And I agree, nobody has illusions about his rampant racism. But I was surprised he's not even bothering to cover it up anymore.

It wouldn't be the first time. I remember the time he "honoured" the Navajos code talkers at the WH, under the portrait of Andrew Jackson and using the occasion to disparage Warren calling her "Pocahontas". The man has no shame.

Here’s what I think about Trump and his antics. I think Trump truly believes about half of what he says and supports half of what he does. He is immature, not very bright or intellectual curious. He likes both himself, winning  and money, bigly. From the start of his 2016 campaign for POTUS, he has played to his base. It’s mostly an act. I actually thought that once he was elected he would drop the act, but he’s too stupid, insecure and incurious to actually perform the duties of POTUS. His act is a shiny penny distraction.

What pisses me off the most are his damn supporters. Did anyone see the interview with PA soybean farmers who voted for Trump? One guy opened his barn full of unsold product and stated he had never had reserves (AKA LOSSES) like this in his 40 years of farming, yet he still supported Trump. It’s like his base can not be wrong, so no matter what Trump does, they’re still going to support him. These folks’ need to be RIGHT has affected their judgement and critical thinking skills. I don’t know how we combat this derangement, and if Trump is not ousted before the 2020 election, which is probably the scenario we face, I fear we will be stuck with him for another 4 years.

I hate to wish for a crisis to occur, but maybe that’s the only way his supporters  will understand Trump’s ineptitude and the lack of manpower that support his efforts.

I think total humiliation might sway his base.  Humiliation so stark that it couldn't be distracted from, talked around, or blamed on anyone or anything else.

Even if he was literally caught in bed having gay sex with Putin they wouldn't care, as long as they still believe that he's doing it for them. The cognitive dissonance is incredibly strong with them, and they truly believe with all their hearts that everything Trump does is for the betterment of his base. He's working so hard for them. Not the others, not the libturds, not the socialists, the durty commies, who want to take away your guns and your rights and give everything to the scary brown people.

No, the only thing that will get most (but not all) of his followers to drop him, is if the Faux propaganda machine currently spoon-feeding them what they should think about Trump, were to turn on him and start proclaiming he's a bad hombre who fooled everybody, and so now you should vote for...

Is anyone actually surprised about this?

I really, really hope the Dems refer to this secret meeting with Russian Foreign Minister and Putin pal Sergei Lavrov tomorrow morning when they announce the articles of impeachment.
