If Pressure Is Put On The Pearls....

I've wondered many times what would happen if the law finally cracks down hard on the Pearls. They obviously run a family cult. My worry has always been that they would hurt themselves or their children in a Jim Jone's type massacre.

What do the rest of you think?

I don't know that their community is so tightly closed that they would be able to do that. Several of their children don't even live on their "compound", afaik.

*If* they were raided by armed forces, they might have a stand-off, but because in my understanding they aren't running a walled commune, it would probably be just Mike and Deb and whatever unlucky souls happened to be there that day "defending themselves", rather than a deliberate communal self destruction.
