I thought of that as well. My Boy Scout son does a flag retirement regularly with his troop. One of the boys actually built a special place to do it as part of his Eagle Scout project.

Wow this is a pretty harsh year for the Duggars.

I'm probably going to get yelled at for this...but is it possible that his credit card info was just stolen? I mean the fact that the Duggars haven't immediately refuted it makes me think that it wasn't. In any case, this guy has lost total credibility and respect from everyone except idiotic fans. In the court of public opinion there's no turning back from this.

I see in some comments that people believe Duggars would blame Anna?? That would not be Biblical and I don't believe that at all.

I hope Josh can just own up to it, time will tell. And I hope that either he and Anna can work it out or she can divorce him. This is definitely grounds for divorce in Christian faith. It's a tough road for her. Especially having a new little one to care for. I hope she is able to stay strong for the kids. I really feel for her.

I am not sure if Josh has some sort of sexual compulsion or if he is just a truly awful brother, husband and father. He has looked awful for the last several years and I do think that the skeletons in his closet have caused him worry. Not that he was worried about the people he has hurt- but about being found out. Even Josh must know that he is a phony- a complete hypocrite in every sense of the word.

I think JB & Michelle have raised him to be entitled no matter what the cost is to others. And Anna has been raised to forgive her husband no matter what his transgressions. I feel most sorry for the M Kids- they were born into an extremely dysfunctional family and no number of Bible Studies is going to remedy that.

The M-kids are probably going to have a tough go of it, that's true. The J-kids, on the other hand, may end up in a better boat.

They can't keep everything from them. The howlers, who by now are all sexually repressed themselves, may come to the see the hypocrisy of their parents' beliefs. John David almost certainly gets it. Jim Bob and Michelle may even get a clue that every fucking thing they did when raising Josh was wrong and loosen up the reins on the younger kids. I know some people think they'll more likely tighten them, and that's possible, but if they go that route the greater the likelihood of outright rebellions.

I think Josiah was being pushed into marriage by Jim Bob. Now he's not getting married. I don't know what happened, but this simple fact alone is a positive thing. May Josiah learn from that experience and from this new development and start thinking about plotting his own path in life. There may only need to be one kid to say, "So long, folks, see you in the tabloids!" before the floodgates open. Free everyone!

I don't think any A-list celebrities would have a need for AM, because their very celebrity would make having hookups and affairs a simple thing. It wouldn't surprise me if there are many other more important DC political figures in the AM data dump, but oftentimes the most powerful people tend to be the ones no one has heard of. My guess is that most AM users were just ordinary joes hoping to get lucky, and the really famous people probably have other avenues that are hidden from the hoi polloi. Since the tabloids are already gunning for the Duggars, it's probably not hard to try and find his particular name among all the many accounts.

Josh and Anna nothing, I agree with others who said that Anna made her bed the day she admitted she forgave Josh for things she had no business forgiving him for (I really don't care if their religion says it makes her holy or whatever, I just don't at this point), and Josh made his own bed too. The both of them get to lie in it.

The people I don't want to be is any other Duggar kid. The girls will always be victims (even the youngest girls are going to be suspected victims forever because that's just how people are) and the boys are always going to be compared to Josh. It's going to be next to impossible for any of them to get engaged or married or even date in the next year AT LEAST. Their entire family name was ruined and they had no control over any of the deeds that were done to get to that point.

Not to mention, can you imagine the amount of rage those kids must be feeling right now? The girls being forced to be "modest" because of Josh, and the boys probably being seen as "the next Josh" by their parents was probably bad enough, now to find out that all of it was for nothing because Josh just keeps screwing them over? I mean their parents most likely aren't going to look at this as a reason to become more lax in their attempt to control the kids, they're going to increase the lock down, increase the purity, etc. Life in that family must be HELL right now. Total and complete hell.

Let's hope it's enough rage and disgust for each and every one of those kids to walk away once they are old enough to do so.

The only positive in all of this being uncovered is that the fraud of Gothard and ATI has been exposed. The dangers of the cult have been revealed- and it's ugly- restriction, isolation, kid after kid and meeting the needs of no one but the spouse does not work.

These cults continue, much like a Ponzi scheme, by people continuing to jump in...this should slow the membership growth, drastically.

The kids need to start making their own plans, based on their own thoughts and beliefs, the house of cards has officially caved in.

Yep, if it was just the free dating sites which are public facing I'd believe someone could be fucking with him - but this went on for 2 years and 3 months and there was no way of knowing this would ever get leaked. That's almost 1k for a payoff one couldn't possibly see coming 2+ years later - that doesn't pass the sniff test for me.

If it wasn't him it was someone close enough to him to have his addresses in 2 different states alone with his credit card info. That's a shortlist and no one on it is likelier than Josh himself to do that.

Remember the "sin in the camp" thing, where Holt allegedly went looking for all the sinners in his campaign after he lost and it was discovered that Josh was looking at porn? I wonder if JB and Michelle would look at this secret as being their own "sin in the camp" that caused them to lose their show? Poor Anna and kids. I wonder what shocking Duggar secret will be exposed next, as I doubt this is the end of it all. I can't wait to see how the Duggars handle this one. I don't think Anna will ever leave him, unfortunately. Even if she wanted to, how would she support herself? I don't think it's fair to state that he's not into anything kinky because she's not interested in sex. I know a lot of girls who love to have sex but have never experimented because they're afraid to bring it up to their partners or their partners have adamantly said it wouldn't happen. There are also a lot of people who love sex who just don't like kinky things. It could very well be that Josh was looking for someone who wouldn't be sexually demanding of him because Anna is. Or that both he and Anna don't enjoy that kind of sex. Or that neither of them have even been exposed to that kind of idea yet. I mean, for all we know, the kind of porn Josh has been exposed to has been like soft porn and erotic literature.

Hell, if I hadn't had one of my previous boyfriends convince me to experiment, I probably would never have even looked into the idea of experimenting beyond who's on top and who's on bottom. It just wasn't on my radar.

I can really see Smuggar deciding to throw the whole family under the bus and make some serious $$ in doing so.
