I found a funny little typo on all the graphics for a Western Conservatory product.

"My Top Teaching Tips From 30 Years of Homeschooing" by Victoria Botkin

The representative thumbnail on their product lists (I'm on my Kindle so I couldn't screenshot this effectively):

Thanks, Botkins, but I think I'm good for tips on homeschoo'in' :?

EDIT: here's a broken link to the page

Edited to properly break link - lilith

No doubt Geoff will use this as yet another opportunity to inflate his resume. Let's see - he's now a linguistics/etymology expert who specializes in rarely-used, alternative spellings of common words.

See how easy that was???

If you're going to claim to be teaching people how to teach right, for the love of pete, proofread the cover! If your cover has typos, why should I trust anything inside?

Also, I theorize that this slip-up happened because Isaac is married and distracted now. You can't tell me that this would have happened had the Reality Check Department been fully operational. :snooty:

Everybody hear that school bell,

You make me nervous when you use an “Lâ€

Take off that nasty letter “Lâ€

You’re using it makes me think of “Hell!â€

We're homeschooin', we're homeschooin'

We're homeschooin', we're homeschooin'

Went to a lecture the other night

Long tall Vicki was out of sight

Threw away her “L,†“R†and “D†in the loo

“Lord God†was “O go†before she was through!

She was homeschooin', she was homeschooin'

She was homeschooin', she was homeschooin'

Hey little girl with your frumper on

I bet you can homeschoo’ all day long

Take off your “Lâ€, now throw it away

Just ‘earn to spe’ words the homeschoo’ way!

We're homeschooin', we're homeschooin'

We're homeschooin', we're homeschooin'

We're homeschooin', we're homeschooin'

Lil' Geoff Botkin, he said to her,

"If I was homeschooin’, would you homeschoo’ too?"

She told Geoff, "You nasty knob,

Don’t take homeschooin’, it’s my only job!

We're homeschooin', we're homeschooin'

We're homeschooin', we're homeschooin'

I'm not seeing anything jumping off the page at me, I just opened up a new window, typed in westernconveratory dot com and then went to products and saw the page, but I'm not seeing a glaring typo. I suspect it might be the word whether, but that is spelled correctly, or at least it is now, was that it, and it's been corrected? If not, please help me out by giving me the misspelling. I'd really appreciate it.

Scratch that :embarrassed: If I had just read the title of the discussion, I would have known where to look, but in my defense, I could not imagine that that would be the word they would misspell. Wow.

Edited again, like I said above, I went to their main website then clicked of products and saw a page with all their products, the print is really small on the photo of CD cover, but I believe that same error is on the actual product as well, how embarrassing.........

This is completely OT but i was a church secretary in my teens. The pastor was a youngish ex-football player and he almost put an ad in the paper that said "the pubic is welcome". i caught it before it went to press, but he laughed about it for days. :embarrassed: (this was back in the olden days when we had dialup and juno for email so typos were more difficult to fix, i guess). Anyway, a lot of people had read his ad so many times they just missed the error. i was just lucky to catch it because i hadn't read it yet.

That's awesome that the Botkins misspelled the point of their existence.

(Just checked it and it's STILL THERE!) slow clap
