Sarah Maxwell took a "selfie".

The had ALL the grandkids over to watch Stevie cut down a tree. (snicker, remember the recent talk about them seeing the grandkids separately.) Now where did Sarah learn the word "selfie"?! :o Steve & Teri, your not doing your proper parenting job! :naughty:

First, there is a very awkward paragraph on how little kids get stuck on a subject. In this case, Joshie and tree cutting.

How's Melanie doing with her pregnancy? I've noticed she's been MIA.

Even if she hasn't received any restrictions from her Doctor, I'll bet she's taking it easy. I know I would if I had her history.

You can see the sadness in Sarah's eyes. Her soul is without hope. Like a flower planted that never bloomed.

I'm guessing she found out what a "selfie" is from some worldy kid at one of their dog and pony shows. Some kid probably came up and asked her if it was OK to take a "selfie" with her (and said kid probably then had to explain what a selfie was).

I hate to admit it, but giving little Joshua that piece of string to "pull" the tree down was pretty darn sweet.

They better be careful, giving the grandchildren something fun to do :naughty: .

I can tell that Christina has the Maxwell eyes. Poor thing. And Sarah is wearing another bow thing in her hair. Sarah just because you are a perpetual child doesn't mean you should dress like one.

The tree set up was pretty adorable, I like that Joshua got to pull down the tree.

BUT...

It's very clear now that he has been separated from the girl cousins. He wasn't in any of the pictures of them together. Sarah says when they took their selfie (paraphrasing, ok) "if more nieces are born there won't be enough room in the picture" So...only girls can be in the picture with the aunts? Since Joshua wasn't included, this is indeed what she is saying.

And Sarah...knock it off with the "y'all"...you use it way too much.

There are times I can't believe she is in her 30s.......

Not that there is anything wrong with a woman in her 30s wearing a bow in her hair if that is her thing, but everything about Sarah seems so childlike (except for her occasional depressive posts on her birthdays).

I wonder if the reason that Joshua isn't around his female cousins much is because Christopher wants it that way. Nathan and family are a little more worldly due to they hang out with Melanie's sisters a lot.

That's a good possibility...or maybe Christopher doesn't want the girly cooties rubbing off on his boy. His boy pulled down the tree, the silly little girls were giggling and taking selfies. Ugg. Whatever it is, it stinks of patriarchal bullshit!

For those of you that debated about this a few weeks ago...Sarah did not wear the toddler headband for just that photoshoot. Here it is....again.

This is more for myself than anything, but I'm putting Claire's comment here in case the Maxwells randomly decide to delete it. Y'know...posterity and all.

Love the word Kaboom!!! It should be used more to show his love.

Just shows that whether it’s in a night time, evening, afternoon or morning wood that needs felling – to be used as a volin, paper plates, a book, a dinning room table, – his love though is ever lasting.

Thanks Mrs Claire XxX

Sarah actually took a picture of Anna taking a selfie of herself, Mary and the nieces.

She did take a selfie of her and Teri last year when the went to the safari on her birthday.

"Sarah Took a Selfie" sounds like the title of a low-budget porn film. See you all in the prayer closet.

OT, but my mum told me recently that some there was some event on in town and some teenagers approached her with their phone. They were striking weird poses and stuff and one of the girls handed Mum her phone and asked if she could take a selfie of them. Mum said "Well I'll take a pic of you if you want me to, but that's not actually a selfie is it?!"

:cracking-up:

Thanks for getting it before it was swiffered!

Steve hasn't deleted it yet so is it possible that Mrs Claire is someone they know - not one of us dirty minded FJers who can spell?
