KY Church breaks ties with Boy Scouts

This article has been floating around my Facebook feed this morning. My state (Kentucky) is showing itself again. An evangelical church has cut its ties with the Boy Scouts of America due to the recent vote to permit gay scouts. The quote by the pastor at the end of the article was the worst for me. “We want everyone, including ourselves, to live by biblical standards,†Hester said. These fundies just can't seem to wrap their heads around separation of church and state.

The comments at the end of the article are mixed. Some people are supporting the church, but many others are pointing out the discrimination against gay youth.
