If the man in front of me at airport security wasn't forced to remove his pro-KKK shirt, then cleavage and swear words should be fair game.

Seriously??? I think the only kind of dress code for public places should be that you need to wear clothes. Id understand if they had a problem with someone who was wearing just a thong and nipple tassels, or if someone tried to get on a place wearing nothing but a shirt and socks with their dangly bits blowing in the wind.

In public you are likely going to see a lot of people dressed differently to your standard of modesty, especially in the summer. If you have a problem, just dont look.

This is what I dont understand. Why should the rest of the world conform to someones perceived notion of modesty? Do you lack the willpower to be able to look away or push supposedly unclean thoughts from your head? If so, then its your fault not mine. Change yourself instead of trying force your religion on others. Remember, Jesus said to get the log out of your own eye before removing the speck from your neighbors eye.

If they are going to have a dress code, they should write it out and enforce it consistently. Instead, it looks like a flight attendant can just look at someone they don't like and tell them to get off the plane or remove their "offending" garment. It's bullshit.

They also should probably keep people from watching porn on their laptop while sitting in an aisle seat. But you know, in that case it was a member of the military so he got a free lunch and I got some sexual harassment. Good times. I love flying so much. /sarcasm

It's becoming somewhat of an issue lately - people with no sense of boundaries consuming pornographic media in public in ways that bystanders are confronted with it. People watching porn on their laptops on planes is one example. You can find some discussions on it, with various staff of places like libraries and flight attendants and similar just wondering what the best way to handle it is.

People talking really loudly on phones is annoying enough, but I certainly would not want to sit next to someone watching porn. There's just not any easy way to hide it (on any screen that's big enough for the main consumer to watch it). Still, it just amazes me that people are comfortable watching NSFW stuff in a place where they KNOW others can't avoid seeing their screens.

(Though I suspect for some fraction of those people making others uncomfortable might be part of the thrill.)

I might accidentally lose my grip on the soda the flight attendent was passing to me.

I find nothing wrong with what this woman is wearing. I do have to wonder how "offensive" this woman's cleavage would have been to the airline employee were she slimmer with firmer, higher breasts. I've flown to and from Vegas on Southwest airlines and I've seen people in much more revealing clothes. And some I've seen had proportionally larger amounts of cleavage showing. The difference was they appeared to be in a particular segment of the entertainment industry, and as such had invested money in" improving their instrument," shall we say. No airline employees confronted them.

My philosophy is, if you don't like it, look elsewhere.
