There's something kind of sad about a grown man who is so bowled over by the food at chain restaurants that he has to take photos.

I have homemade macaroni and cheese with ham in the slow cooker right now. I have to go to work as soon as my headship gets home, so he'll throw a bag of frozen veggies into the microwave to go with. I am considering tackling homemade cinnamon rolls if this lousy weather keeps up--we're all stuck indoors.

I made South African (malay) beef curry with potatoes. For sides, there were steamed rice and fresh baked vegetables (brussel sprouts, carrots, and onions) with little oil and water in a Pyrex dish. Josh, imagine shopping for vegetables in the produce section of your local grocery store. LOL

No pics, because my family ate it all. No processed crap used. We rarely eat fast food, because the cost adds up.

BTW, I love cucumber sandwiches. I think I'll make those for lunch tomorrow. :)

Raw beets in salad are SO good. I do mine julienne, so there's beet-y goodness spread evenly throughout. They turn my fingers purple while I'm cutting them, though. :)

Mine's a casserole-Americanized I suppose, but tasty just the same! I use leeks instead of onions usually, though...
