Or what this list really means, found on Mission America, a site listed as a hate group by SPLC

Here is the list they give.

Many of today’s youth grow up in Christian churches, but are adopting very un-Christian beliefs. When we all stand before Him, will their names be found in the Lamb’s Book of Life? Maybe it’s time to re- check the status of your child’s faith by asking these basic Christian doctrinal questions. Answer yes or no.

1. Must a person believe in Jesus, and Him alone, to spend eternity with God?

2. Do Native Americans, witches, and Muslims pray to the same God as Christians?

3. Do all people go to heaven to be with God after they die?

4. Do good people who have done their best on earth go to heaven?

5. Can proud, practicing homosexuals be Christians?

6. Can people who have committed serious sins be truly saved by Jesus?

7. Will there be a judgment for our sins after we die?

8. Was tolerance the greatest message of Jesus?

9. Are homophobia, patriarchy and lack of reverence for the earth revealed to be sins in the Bible?

10. Is the Bible the Word of God?

11. Was Jesus present in the Old Testament?

12. Will Christians make the world a great place before Jesus returns?

13. Are all people the children of God?

14. Is the best way to encounter God meditating and repeating a certain spiritual phrase over and over?

15. Are Satan and demons real?

16. Are all powerful, beautiful spiritual experiences from God?

17. Can a true believer pray to Jesus or God in female form, such as a goddess?

18. Should Christians participate in services for Allah?

19. Would a true Christian believe in reincarnation?

20. Did God create the world rather than it happening by chance?

--------------------------------------------------------------

I also find the Native American question very racist and offensive. Most modern day Natives are Christians and only a minority hold onto their ancestral beliefs. So, YES most pray to the same God as Christians.

What a load of ignorant bigots!

Many of today’s youth grow up in Christian churches, but are adopting very un-Christian beliefs. When we all stand before Him, will their names be found in the Lamb’s Book of Life? Standard fundie scare tactics: do what we say or HELL. Maybe it’s time to re- check the status of your child’s faith by asking these basic Christian doctrinal questions. Because then we can get you to "separate" from church and listen only to what we tell you in scare e-mail after scare e-mail. Answer yes or no. Because it's never more complicated than that.

1. Must a person believe in Jesus, and Him alone, to spend eternity with God? Children would probably answer "yes," so why is this even in here?

2. Do Native Americans, witches, and Muslims pray to the same God as Christians?Trap question! If your child correctly points out that "Native Americans" could be any of 50 flavors of Christian, follow their ancient religions, or be completely irreligious, they're "failing" to obey your demand to answer "yes" or "no." The actual answer regarding Muslims is "yes, although Muslim theology has gone down different paths," but the fundie shibboleth is "no."

3. Do all people go to heaven to be with God after they die?Trap again. A compassionate child will want to say "yes."

4. Do good people who have done their best on earth go to heaven?Aaaaand again. And there is no unanimous agreement on this anyway.

5. Can proud, practicing homosexuals be Christians?Translation: Recite the correct shibboleth or never see your friends from church again.

6. Can people who have committed serious sins be truly saved by Jesus?Oh, for crying out loud, why are you asking children this stuff? Have you just been doop-de-dooing around, not listening to the preacher at your church? Did you lose the preacher's phone number? Did you already "separate" and now you're just looking for an excuse to "separate" the kids? :pull-hair:

7. Will there be a judgment for our sins after we die?And if the child responds by correctly reciting the words of Jesus on the Judgment Seat, will they have to sit through a lecture on works righteousness?

8. Was tolerance the greatest message of Jesus?Translation: Do you have . . . librul cooties? :evil-eye:

9. Are homophobia, patriarchy and lack of reverence for the earth revealed to be sins in the Bible?Translation: You better hew to my party line, or you will never leave the house without me.

10. Is the Bible the Word of God?And if your teacher dared to tell you that some parts of the Bible were explicitly written by humans who carefully noted the parts they themselves had written, you're gonna get it.

11. Was Jesus present in the Old Testament?Again with the theology that children shouldn't have to be worrying about. This is prefiguring and types and such.

12. Will Christians make the world a great place before Jesus returns?Could you throw your kid a bone here and hint heavily about the answer you want?

13. Are all people the children of God?Or just the ones who we pointed out to you?

14. Is the best way to encounter God meditating and repeating a certain spiritual phrase over and over?Oh, for heaven's SAKES, what do they think goes on in a mainline church?! FWIW, meditation-in-prayer is an extremely old Christian tradition. Much older than fundammentalism.

15. Are Satan and demons real?Again with the adult theology questions. Ohwait, the kids are supposed to be terrified.

16. Are all powerful, beautiful spiritual experiences from God?Trap again.

17. Can a true believer pray to Jesus or God in female form, such as a goddess? If they point out the times when God the Father and God the Son refer to Themselves using female imagery, note that the Holy Spirit takes the female ending in the original Hebrew, or use the dreaded word "metaphor," do they get the glue stick?

18. Should Christians participate in services for Allah? Why the hell aren't you talking to the preacher?!

19. Would a true Christian believe in reincarnation? Why is this even an issue? Why would a church even be talking about this?

20. Did God create the world rather than it happening by chance? Finally an easy one! Just check the titles on the books by Dad's computer and that'll tell you the answer he wants!

Oh, FFS already. I know a good many people who identify as Native American. Almost all of them are church-attending Christians, while at the same time integrating their traditional culture. They don't see it as separate. They see it as all part of the same thing. It would blow the mind of a fundie to have a theological discussion with one of these deeply spiritual, devout people.
