That Generation Dinosaur post is so spot-on. It really does come across as if Kelly wrote it, totally self-serving, navel gazing and mind numbingly stupid!

I can't help but think about my ancestors families and Kelly's stupidity. My grandfather was the 9th of 10 children born in like 1930-33, can't recall, but right around the depression. One of his older brothers died at the age of two from pneumonia that could have been prevented by modern medicine, but it was like 1925. His father died when he was 10 in an train crash and they were in serious poverty for awhile since women in those days did not have much education. He only had 4 children, but one of his daughters died suddenly as an infant from a heart condition caused by her mom contracting a mumps like virus while pregnant, which was before the mumps vaccine was invented. Thanks to the MMR vaccine, the condition no longer exists.

Going back further, my great-grandmother was the 4th of 13, but the first daughter, born between 1906-1909. She only went to school here and there, talked of eating only cornbread for dinner often and was sent away at the age of 10 to her aunt and uncle's to help around their farm because her parents struggled to pay for all their children. And of those 13, only 10 made it to adulthood, at least one died in infancy and one other from TB. Not sure about the other one, but they were quite young as well. People like Kelly are idiots to bring in past families and the number of children. Out of her, what, 11, she'd be lucky to have even half of them make it adulthood if she had them in my great-grandmother's era.

Ftr, John Wesley was one of 19, but only 10 of those survived to adulthood. Oh, and Wesley only married grudgingly and never had any children.

Ben Franklin was one of 10 and had seven half-siblings, but he had illegitimate son, another son died young and he only had one daughter, so he only had two children of his own and only one in a marriage.

William Shakespeare was the 3rd of 6, but only had three of his own, which included a set of twins and his only son died at the age of 11. His eldest daughter was conceived prior to marriage as well.

As someone else said, George Washington did not have any children, only two step-children.

Napoleon was the second surviving child, two had already died by the time he came along. He had many affairs with one acknowledged illegitimate son and likely at least four other children by mistresses. He only had one son within a marriage.

Only of five of Johann's siblings survived and his parents both died when he was 8-9 years old. He married his second cousin and they had 5 children, but only three survived infancy (set of twins died).

Fanny Crosby was the only child of her parents, but had one half-sister from her father's previous marriage. And she only had one daughter, who died as an infant, likely from SIDS. So clearly her father didn't follow in his grandparents footsteps.

Why is it always the big and famous? Why cant people aspire to just being a person. You know the garbage collectors, hospital cleaners, fast food servers etc? The people who go to work for the money and come home and be with their families? I'm betting the world would soon grind to a halt if we all were famous drs looking for a cure for cancer or movie stars. Its kinda like all that reincarnation stuff, nobody is ever Joe Bloggs they're all Cleopatra or Napoleon :cracking-up:

Dolly Parton was one of 12. I guess she doesn't count though cause she has no kids and probably her boobs are fake.

Personally I think Kelly secretly likes Celine Dion music but would never admit it.

I hate it when fundies do this. It's like every aborted baby is either Einstein or Jonas Salk, never Hitler or Charles Manson.

Ted Bundy -- oldest of five children

John Wayne Gacy --- middle of three children

Benito Mussolini --- oldest of three children

Jeffrey Dahmer -- oldest of two children

Karla Faye Tucker -- youngest of three children

I was looking at the GenerationDinosaur spoof site and noted a comment about stretching milk with water. Is that a joke? I haven't delved too deeply at GC because that woman is irritating and couldn't find anything with a quick search.

That part is actually completely true. It's not something she has started with recently either. We discussed it this year though. That's why I'm saying that she makes a parody of herself (and maybe a parody blog was unnecessary in her case). generationcedar.com/main/2013/01/saving-money-in-the-kitchen-cheap-meals.html Most things I post on the parody blog are more or less true, except for the 7 diy ideas to save money, where I was improvising to 90%. She actually said that first part about water being good enough for most jobs (which is strange, considering she used to sell soap). When I created that parody blog, I collected her craziest quotes and saved them in a word-documents. I now have 88 pages full of crazy. I usually insert some of her quotes in each generation dinosaur- blog post.

I don't think I ever posted this in the original thread about the two chicken breasts, so I'll comment on it now. I raised my eyes when I heard about that blended two chicken breasts dinner, because that sounds like a story my grandmother would have told me about having grown up during the Great Depression.

Which leads to me this - if you are making meals that are reminiscent of the freakin' GREAT DEPRESSION, you need to cut off your internet access and use that money to buy your family more food!

Well now we know why Kelly is having all those kids she can't feed!!!

It’s not speculation, but fact, as already seen in other countries, that our rejection of life as a society is going to have serious consequences. Ironically, those who will feel it the most are those who are most anti-child, depending on the government (retirement) to “be there†for them in their elderly years, most of whom will have few or no progeny to care for them, or their progeny will be too busy pursing their dreams, having been brought up without the sense of responsibility for caring for others.

She just needs them to care for her when she is old. OBVIOUSLY they can't go to University because then they might want a life of their own. I think that is what she means by 'dreams.' Their own, you know LIFE. Every child who goes to university or some other not Kelly controlled view of life, immediately forgets they have parents. Stop loving them and never ever visit and will quite obviously let them fester in a nursing home. ALL of them. EVERY single one.

Don't suppose Kelly would consider having a pension? NAH too socialist. Instead she will expect her kids to support her. I hope they feed her as little as she feeds them

For the usual bible verse which makes no point whatsoever. The title and some clip she found to back up her narrow view.

^Something tells me Bria is already going to be waaaayy burnt out on "caring for others" well before Kelly reaches the elderly stage.

ETA: Is Kelly still pregnant? Did she miscarry? I can't keep track.

Nice to see how much she cares about tornado victims that are not her.

Don't they live in a house owned by her parents on their property? Do they pay rent or utilities?

Either way. She feels she can tell you what to do. Bleh.

God or Jesus provided that. Don't you know. How nice not to have a mortgage. Or council tax or any responsibility except your own. I would be very happy to provide for Kelly's kids in my country. But she does not want to provide for mine. She does not wish to contribute anything at all. Well except what is to me selfishness. But I would still not grudge an ill child of hers care and what it took to make said child healthy.

Even after that happening. I doubt she would get it.

GOD DAMN IT KELLY.

When you say the words "it's not speculation, but fact," most people expect you to CITE YOUR SOURCES. Unless you are saying that the sky is blue, you can not say such generalizations like "it's not speculation, but fact, as seen in other countries..." AND NOT TELL US WHAT COUNTRIES, or what the "Serious Consequences" are.

All I can say is- all of you- Need to read Roald Dahls' short story "Genesis and Catastrophe." It throws this lady's "reasons under a bus and is accurately and carefully researched. It's a brilliant little piece.

Not breaking cuz thats what it's for.

1st thing I thought about too! Great story, because it will learn you to look at things from different sides.

The post a few down on women and work is pathetic. More pathetic are the idiots in the comments living on less than $30k trying to unload their house so they won't have debt. So they can rent. So they will have to continue to rent after they retire. Idiots. They keep quoting Dave Ramsey, who would tell them they are idiots for selling a house so they can rent.

But, with th exception of Celine Dion, all of these were born at times when people had lots of children not because God told them so but because of lack of birth control and high infant mortality (how many of the other children in those families lived to adulthood, I wonder?). Plus I'm sure you could find a list of famous people coming from small families, or who are only children, or, I don't know, dictators or criminals who are the 5th child of a 5th child. It's like the "you might be aborting the next Mozart" but you might as well be aborting the next Hitler.

Celine Dion is not an exception. She's french canadian, AKA Catholic as they come. Birth control may have been "available", but not in her culture at that time.

Oh no, she's still SO GRATEFUL for that tornado that destroyed her house, because it's helped her purge her life of meaningless things. Yes, that's the same tornado that killed one of her neighbors and severely injured 3 of his children. They lost not only the husband/father that they loved but the family's main provider. Yet I'm sure they'd be thrilled to know the tornado helped teach Kelly a valuable lesson

Clearly the OK tornado victims should have thought ahead and started whinging blogs on the internet so they'd have fans in place to buy them fancy sewing equipment and shabby chic home decor.

I was just thinking of this. Kelly has not expressed any amount of compassion to the victims of the Moore, OK tornado. You would think Kelly would ask for prayers for the victims of the tornado in Moore. You think she would pay her good fortune forward to help these people. You think she's inspire her leg humper fans to donate to the Red Cross. But nope, she's been totally silent. She just doesn't give a shit about anyone outside her little realm.
