Thanks for answering. I'm not familiar with the US, so that explains some of it.

South central Oklahoma isn't really grizzly country  some coyotes, maybe a bear, rattlers and copperheads. The scariest thing around is probably the tourist buses of old people going to the two big casinos.

The fact that his religion's denial of homosexual marriage tries to legislate how our civil government treats gay marriage is the problem, for me. I know the separation of church and state is joke in actuality, but I view who can get married to be a civil issue, since the government is the one that issues marriage licenses, etc. if your religious body does not want to perform such a marriage, fine, that's its right; but for a religious entity to tell me or anyone not of that religion how to live my life in a civil matter, that's wrong

As odd as it might seem to you guys, I am back. No I didn't run, spring is just a busy time for me. I basically have five pages to read and answer if I am to give a full reply. I will begin that process tonight, but don't expect my full reply too quickly. I will admit right now that some of my arguments don't hold water, what is experience for? Live and learn. I'll do my best to answer all questions soon.

I'm glad you are realizing that some of your beliefs don't hold water. It is always good to grow and learn.

I didn't say some of my beliefs don't hold water, I said arguments. You will find I haven't changed much, I was just acknowledging that I used some pretty hollow arguments previously. BTW, I am not, and I repeat, not, the guy God's Country Boy. When I chose this name I really didn't mean to cause any confusion, my real name is Uriah, and my blog is flameofjah.blogspot.com if you want something else to pick apart :P.

Well if you can't find any arguments to support your beliefs, perhaps it is time to rethink them. Just saying.

Then why did you use them? Don't get me wrong, I'm glad you used them because they were funny as hell. But I don't get people who just pull arguments out of their asses without doing the tiny bit of research required to check whether their arguments hold water.

I'm interested to see if he can come up with any that actually DO hold water.

You don't happen to be a large, mechanically unreliable bus full of singing/screeching adult virgins who have given their hearts into the keeping of their Daddy by any chance do you?

You made me choke on my coffee.

His blog seems boring and his argument as to why women shouldn't wear pants stupid beyond all words. You really do struggle to come up with arguments that hold water to support the things you have been taught, don't you?

Here are some manly men wearing what is essentially a dress for men:

shukronline.com/mens-galabiyya.html

And here are some skirts for men:

Doubt anyone would call the cross dressers because they are wearing clothes made for men.

The writing on that blog is making my eyes bleed. Uriah's grammar is better than that of many fundies, but run-on sentences and the misuse of punctuation are two of my pet peeves. I also hate reading through several paragraphs of text only to find that the author makes no explicit point. Dude, it's clear that you take blogging seriously, so might I recommend some writing lessons? Trust me, you'll get through to a lot more people if your blog is well-written.

This blog that he links to seems to be written by a slightly crazed person:

valiantchristianity.blogspot.com/

A Christian's occupation is war?

Holy shit are you really blaming Anne Frank for dying?

"Inspired by the story of Anne Frank.

I am often haunted by her story,

just weeks before her prison was

liberated she gave up on life. Her

Father was still living, but she did

not know, all she had to live for was

family, when they were gone, or

seemingly so, she had nothing.

Never forget my friends, we have

Christ. "

She didn't give up on life, ya wheat chewing maroon. She had a raging case of typhus. Having your blood go septic will kill you, and all the prayers in the world won't save you.

Country Boy is very welcome to come to Scotland to discuss cross-dressing. I fear though he may get his face rearranged

I really think that he can't have interacted with many people outside his bubble too often because even most Christians would be horrified at blaming Anne Frank for dying.

And anyone with any sort of critical thinking skills would have realized that there are skirts and dresses made for men. Though I would love to see him plunked down in the middle of a bunch of kilt wearing men and call them cross dressers.

He's also perfectly welcome to travel to America Samoa or Hawaii and discuss "cross-dressing." Pretty sure he'd run away scared.

Well, this isn't the first time someone returns from a flounce simply to promote their blog, and it won't be the last.

Yeah, "I'm back to answer these questions. Here is a link to my blog please check it out." promptly disappears. Either he never intended to reply and just wanted to drive traffic to his blog or he was going to, started on answering, realized he couldn't come up with any logical replies so he decided to slink away in humiliation instead of admitting that he is completely wrong about everything.

Spring, his busy time, has been over for a while now.

What the actual fuck?!? :music-tool:

So, not only is he blaming her for her own death, but is basically insinuating that if she had Christ, she would be alive? :angry-screaming: :obscene-birdiered:

Well, you know. Christ is better than clean water for eradicating typhus! (Also, cholera. THE MORE YOU KNOW.)

He replied to the Anne Frank post:

Anne Frank told someone after her sister died that she had nothing left to live for, my point in this post was not to argue this though, but merely to encourage Christians to never give up, as long as you can drag yourself along don't give up. Yes you can let go, you can give up and die. Ask medical people, they will tell you that the fighters are more likely to live.

See, if she had just been a fighter she would have lived. Victim blaming at its best here.

I'm smelling the holocaust did not happen from this one.

Still want him to tell a Scotsman not to wear a skirt

I'm still hoping he will show back up and provide us with what is sure to be completely ignorant answers. As summer gets close to fall, my hope begins to fade, though.

I said I would come back and answer so, here I am. For many reasons I did not come back, I do have a life beyond the internet, and the past months have been some of the hardest in my life as far as losses, such as my dear Grandfather's recent passing, and to be really honest, coming on here was not in my mind ;).

First off, I should have defined this discussion more at the beginning. I intended to provide sort of an "ask a fundy forum" where you could ask why we believe certain things we believe. It seems that it has gone way beyond that, more of a place for you to shred what I believe and attack me. Go ahead and shred what I believe, that is okay, but I came to answer questions, if you accuse or shred me, don't expect me to respond. I am happy to answer questions, but I will not bother with answering attacks. If I know this place well enough to say so, the above paragraph will not be taken lightly, but, hey I am one guy here, there are a bunch of you, I've got to make some rules ;)

This will come off as an insult, I write my blog for Christians, and well, Christians understand what I write. You guys don't. That is okay, we view the world from completely different perspectives. I don't pretend that I understand your perspectives on things. If what I write doesn't make sense to you, remember that you see the world from a very different perspective, and therefore you get a totally different message than I intended. I only understand this fully now, a Christian can read something I wrote and come away with the exact meaning I intended, when you guys read that same post, you get a completely different meaning. It is pretty shocking actually, lol. Like my Anne Frank post. I never intended to blame her death on her. Not at all. I was trying to encourage people to never give up on life, just fight on, even if you are terminally ill, fight as long as you can. That is all. It is a fact that Anne Frank told her friend that she had nothing left to live for, and when someone has no hope, and no desire to live, they die. That is well known in the medical world, the people with the highest survival rates are those that never give up. I also never intended to say she would have lived if she was a Christian. I don't know that. What I was saying was that a Christian even when they have nothing earthly left to live for, they still have Christ, and for us, he is worth fighting for. If she had Christ to live for, maybe she would have lived longer, I will not say that is a fact though.

Some got confused about my stating that you get rid of a male animal that mates males. I would never get rid of a male animal because he mated a male, that is fairly normal on a farm. Occasionally you get a male that only mates males, and yes, we do get rid of them. Sorry for the confusion. A bit of a side note on this subject, male animals do not mate each other if they are in the presence of sufficient numbers of females. In my experience, unless they are one of the rare males that only mates males, they only mate each other when they are confined away from females or have insufficient numbers of females.

Below is some questions y'all asked, and my answers.

[beginquote=formergothardite]I don't comment on people's blogs. I find it difficult to follow conversations when they are in blog comments. He is the one bragging about how manly he is, we have a whole thread talking about his blog, he can feel free to read what sort of light on the hill for Christ he is being to us ungodly heathens and if we are wrong about him, correct us here. Though, honestly, I find him so scary I really wouldn't want him to come. No one will ban him from coming, but his blog makes him look like a serial killer who would murder me and my whole family with glee.

Your opinion, a man posing that way, modest or not? Can women pose in jeans like that, the things that draw the eyes being the rear and the friends that are posed between the legs, and still be modest?[/endquote]

In my opinion, I don't like the pose, though to me there is nothing immodest about it.

[beginquote=anniec]I have moose photos somewhere! They were taken at Skansen Park in Stockholm though and I was behind the safety fence, so that may not count... :P

Country Boy, is God's Country Boy a friend of yours then? How close are you? Was he startled to hear that you inadvertently turned him in to Free Jinger?
