Guess who has godliness inside of her?

Recommended Posts

[redacted]! I thought for sure that this thread was going to be about Miss Raquel. After all, if God can give her a horse, having godliness inside her is a given.

Miss Raquel would be the perfect girl for Godly Queen Lori to mentor.

I'm curious if there is some form of restriction of publication for works like that in the US? I live in Germany, and here the Pearls' books (as well as books like Hitler's Mein Kampf for example) are on an index, which means it's deemed detrimental to children and is therefore not sold to minors and not openly adverdised. I know there are ratings for movies. So there must surely be something like that in place for written publication?

Jesus said that no one was to mistreat children, and it's Jesus' words that should be (imo) the priority for Christians.

Many Christians believe that God/Jesus/the Holy Spirit are one (the trinity). The god of the Bible was often very violent towards children and people in general, so it never surprises me when these idiots are able to use scripture to back up the abuse of their children.

No, nothing like that for books or any kind of print media. Publications like Playboy, Hustler, etc. are generally not sold to children, but any laws restricting those kinds of sales would be state by state, not federal. Furthermore, any sales restrictions on anything other than pornography (for kids) and obscenity (for kids and adults) would be put in place by the retailer, not the government. The First Amendment's free speech guarantee includes the freedom to access information as well as the freedom to speak. A child in the United States could certainly walk into a bookstore and buy a copy of Mein Kampf if the bookstore was willing to sell it to him or her; the government won't do anything to block that purchase.

The movie ratings are actually a voluntary thing that the motion picture industry does; it's not mandated by the government or anything. Video games and TV shows are also rated, but again, those are voluntary ratings assigned by the industry, not the government.

Someone gave me a copy of the Pearls' book when I was pregnant. I wish I could remember who so I could go smack them upside the head with it...

Lori makes me alternatively sad and angry. She obviously needs her feelings of superior sanctity over her readers and followers as she certainly has no standing or status in her marriage but what she advocates for women & children makes me sick.
