Fundie Blind Item(via DListed/Blind Gossip)

I never got a gay vibe from Kirk, but then, I haven't paid any attention to Kirk in over 20 years. I mostly just like Michael K's(bolded)guess:

There is an area in Griffith Park where you can take the kiddies for a train ride. A certain actor used to enjoy taking men for another kind of ride in the same area. He would cruise the park, pick up a guy, and then hook up with them in his car. The really ironic thing here is that the actor is so religious that when he was a teen heartthrob (a couple of decades ago) he used to insist that any dialogue that was even the slightest bit sexual or profane be removed from his lines because they violated his sense of decency. He’s all grown up now – and still cruises for guys – but we’re sure his wife really appreciates what a moral man she married. (Blind Gossip)

The Prop 8-loving, gay marriage hating homophobe crazy that is Kirk Cameron? Please oh please let a future cover of The National Enquirer have one of Kirk's tricks on it with the headline: "Kirk Cameron Sucked My Growing Pain." It's the gift my 2012 needs.

I heart you, MK! :romance-lovegoddess:

I remember those demands from his Growing Pains days. He also married Chelsea Noble during the run of the show and refusing to remove his wedding band, put tape over it.

I've also heard that gay rumor (probably here). Oh, if only it could be proven to be true!

Who else could it be? And I love MK too XD

Didn't Kirk Cameron also order the firing of one of his Growing Pains co-stars because she had the nerve to pose for Playboy or something?

Yep. Julie McCullough. Here's a blurb from Wikipedia (not the most reliable source, I know):

Julie McCullough landed the role of nanny Julie Costello on Growing Pains in 1989. She appeared in eight episodes until she was fired in 1990, Kirk Cameron's conversion to evangelical Christianity, a conversion that, according to The E! True Hollywood Story episode focusing on the show, served to alienate him from his fellow cast members, as he did not invite any of them to his wedding. He called for McCullough's termination because of his objections to her having posed nude in Playboy, and accused the show's producers of promoting pornography. A decade later, Cameron apologized to his TV family, attributing his prior behavior to his lack of maturity,[8][9] but did not reconcile with McCullough, who claims that Cameron refused to speak to her during a later encounter, and who remains critical of him, stating that she lost a lot from the public criticism she endured from the controversy. Although McCullough herself is Catholic, she has criticized the evangelical television programming Cameron has produced, which she has viewed on one occasion, saying on her MySpace page:

“ He thinks if I read science books that I'm going to hell. [i would] rather laugh with the sinners than cry with the saints ... the sinners are much more fun. And a lot more interesting than some book-burner who is still having growing pains. I am at peace with God. Kirk thinks people like me are going to Hell, if I do then at least I'll go well informed and well read.[10]

I really really really (REALLY) hope that the Blind Item is about him. I can't stand him at all.

I was about to post this as well! Great minds (and hive vaginas) think alike.

Is there anyone else this could be, really? Hopefully one of the gossip websites that answer blind items will address it.

Team Julie! Seriously, she posed for Playboy. A lot of actresses have. It's not like she killed someone. Eesh.

And Kirkle's appeal is lost on me. He never did much for me during his teen heart throb days. Even then I could tell he was a major douche.

I remember back when I was a fundie wondering why some people despised Kirk Cameron and why others acted like he was the sun, moon, and stars. Then I started educating myself on the non-AiG version of the debate about Creation/Evolution and watched some debates featuring Kirk Cameron and Ray Comfort. Ever since I want to despise him but start laughing too much to be very mad. :D Now I just hope he finally gets pulled out of the closet soon so as to shut up the Kirk fans for a while.

I hope it's true, that would be so awesome. Sounds like he had a stick up his ass. I don't think he would get away with that today (I'd like to think that, anyway  ). TV was a lot different 20 years ago when his show aired.

I remember hearing a while back that him and doogie houser hooked up a lot back in the day. Kirk and his sister both employ the "baby wise" techniques with their kids. I lost all respect when I read that, so cruel.

I remember someone posted another blind item about Kirk on the old board. "It PAINS us" was the hint on that one. I wouldn't be surprised if it was Cameron, but someone's going to have to come forward with damning evidence before what fans he has left will believe it.

The immature part of me giggled hysterically at the bolded line.

*drops to my knees*" Please let this be true, please let this be true, please let this be true, please let this be true..."

I'm tired of "Kirkels" (his pet name given by the Teen Beat/Tiger Beat/Tutti Fruitti mags of the day) springing up every now and again to remind the unwashed masses of how pious he is. :naughty:

Kirk Cameron defines the word "sanctimonious".

I hope this turns out to be true. Kirk's followers would ditch him right away. I lost respect for Kirk years ago when I watched that E! True Hollywood Story in which Julie McCullough was interviewed. I also read somewhere Julie almost considered filing a wrongful termination suit against ABC and the producers of Growing Pains. Another rumor I heard was that after Kirk became religious he stopped being friendly to his GP co-stars and the crew.

It would not surprise me at all.

He seems to be one of those "he doth proteth too much" sorts. I cannot stand to hear the man speak as he is always incredibly judgmental of others, or at least he has been anytime I have seen him (so much for maturity!).

He never did much for me in the Growing Pains days. As another pointed out, he seemed like an ass even back then.

According to Tracey Gold's autobiography, Kirk didn't invite his GP co-stars to his wedding or even tell them about it in advance. Later, he explained that he wanted only "close family and friends" at his wedding. His castmates were hurt by this remark. By this point, the show had been on TV for years and the kids had all grown up together.

This is NOT the first time these rumors have gone around about him. Wouldn't surprise me in the least if they were true. He's a sanctimonious douche.

I didn't know about Tracey's autobiography. I don't blame his castmates for being hurt by that remark.

If I remember the old rumor was that a former child star was seen entering a bar frequented by gay men. His wife found out and was very angry. The speculation was that the mysterious man was Kirk. Apparently, these rumors have been circulating about him for a long time.
