"Mississippi Crack" Roast Beef

On my last trip to No Cal, I was accosted by Bethel people in Trader Joe's, wanting praying for me to receive a new kneecap, in the bread section. 

This last trip to No Cal, I was visited by a random woman next to the roast beasts, who offered up a recipe, no prayers or kneecaps.  I was intrigued, and went and bought what she suggested.  

It was amazing.

  • one roast beast
  • one package Au Jus powder
  • one package Ranch dressing powder
  • one stick of butter, cut into slices
  • sliced mushrooms and a sliced onion
  • small jar of pepperocinis
  • one slow cooker

Put the shrooms, pepperocinis and the onions in the bottom of the slow cooker, place the beast on top.  Sprinkle both packets of powder on top, and then the sliced butter.

Cook on low for 8-9 hours.  

You can add Wondra to the gravy to make it thicker when it is done.

YES, it looks like too much powder on top of the beast.  Ignore.  Don't ask questions, just make this.

Feel free to leave out the peppers if you don't like too much zest.

I served this over mashed potatoes and... it was G O N E.
