What is "The Way"?

It's a bit hard to search a huge site for this for something called "The Way" with any success, so I figured I'd just ask. Is anyone familiar with a Christian group called "The Way"?

From my mother, my sense is it is an evangelical, non-denominational, likely home-based "church".

My cousin who grew up Catholic (to some degree) and married a guy who is a member of "The Way". They dated --it was clear from FB they were in a relationship -- but once they were engaged they basically needed to be chaperoned. So they got married very quickly. She still seems to drink coffee and wine and has kept her (wonderful but strong) personality, but I sense a bit of patriarchy in their relationship. So... I'm curious if anyone knows anything!

Is it this group? When I googled "The Way" religion I came up with several websites. There seem to be discussion about where or not they are a cult.

I did finally read a little on their website. Apparently, they are pro-choice. However, the site screamed bat shit crazy to me.
