Anti-Christian Bigotry Map

So the American Family Association has created a SPLC-style map to show groups that they claim are "deeply intolerant of the Christian religion" whose objectives are to "silence Christians and remove public displays of Christian heritage and faith in America."

Greatest hits include various groups that promote the "homosexual agenda," as well as Human Rights Campaign and even the Southern Poverty Law Center--which makes sense, given that they categorize the AFA as a hate group.

:snooty: Well. I'm disappointed. There's nothing in southeastern VA. Pat Robertson must have prayed them all away. :hand:

I am absolutely surrounded by anti-Christian bigotry groups.

I knew it. I mean, I feel TOTALLY unsafe walking out the door Sunday morning in my panty hose, knee length skirt, and equidistant cross. I hide the dollar for the candles I light in my coat pocket, lest the neighbors get wise to where I'm going and report me to the Atheists (cue scary music). In fact, I'm sure I have gotten dirty looks...or something...if I have to pick up groceries afterwards in my church shoes. The bigotry just keeps me up at night. :hand:

Last week 25 Coptic Christians were beheaded by ISIS after being kidnapped in Libya. That is persecution and bigotry, assholes. Take your map and shove it.

Damn, I didn't realize NC was such an anti-Christian state.

They know you are there 8-) :D

Well I always wondered what the hell the 'Homosexual Agenda' was...

HOMOSEXUAL AGENDA

Advocates for the legalization and promotion of same-sex marriage and viciously attacks Christians who exercise their First Amendment right to voice support for God’s plan for marriage as between one man and one woman.

I am literally peeshing my knickers with ze laughter

I have counted 8 differing areas of the US I have visited and 4 are offering rainbow hot air ballooning, quite a few appear to be Gentlemen's toilets ...oddly.. The rest appear to be areas where I might learn cross-stitch (don't remember much sewing.)

Man that key is as pathetic as these numpties

How about, got drunk and played pin the horns on Satan, or Gothard. Whichever.

I have to figure out how to get my town on the map.

[quoteGLESN Baltimore

GLSEN infiltrates public schools with pro-homosexual indoctrination tactics, confusing many young people and misleading them into making dangerous and unhealthy lifestyle choices that will negatively affect their entire lives.

1. These folks need to read the actual defintion of bigotry:

http://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/bigot

Holding a different opinion is not bigotry. Neither is asking courts to uphold the First Amendment, or resist given your religion preferential treatment and the ability to coerce others.

Nothing on this map says anything about actual bigotry - you know, hatred and discrimination.

2. There are actual groups of Christians being persecuted RIGHT NOW. Talking about Assyrians and Coptic Christians, though, will require a bigger map that includes the rest of the world. The horrors of living around people who support gay rights might also fail to impress people if you mention what ISIS is doing to Christians.

Atlanta is not well represented enough. We spawned Ru Paul, have an HRC, tons of gays with kids, atheists, pagans, Catholics, secular colleges and universities, the CDC, hippies, Democrats, socialists and more.

This is what real anti-Christian persecution looks like:

http://www.theguardian.com/world/2015/f ... s-in-syria

It's a black flag, not a rainbow one.

I think groups like the AFA define anti-Christian bigotry to mean something like "place where LGBTS are protected from discrimination" or " Bill Maher said something I disapprove of on a channel I don't even get" rather than "I was beheaded and my wife and children sold into slavery by ISIS because I'm a Christian." The inability to see the difference is why few people outside of the conservative bubble take the idea of American Christians as persecuted minority seriously.
