Polygamy OT Style

So, over at the Reconstructionist Theonomist facebook group, they are discussing polygamy inthe act of marrying one's relative's widow. Many view it as archaic or only for Israel, not us today, but not suprisingly, Vaughn Ohlman whose philosophy seems to be "old enough to bleed,old enough to breed" thinks there is no reason this policy ended. Now, he is more well known for his belief that 1) fathers get together an decide who of their children will marry, with none ofthis silly courtship or dating involved and 2) most fundies are marrying much too old and 3) parents can help their underage newly weds along because 4) the kids are sort of reporting to the husband's father for life anyway.

 

I'm sure he would say I misunderstand, but that seems the gist of it to me.

 

We've expected polygamy to be part of fundieism... here is one area it is beingdebated
