What is up with Maxwell blog?

The blog website is up again. There's no mention of the hack. I'm kind of surprised the family doesn't make mention of something. Are they just going to pretend nothing happened? I guess that's kind of Maxwell thing to do.....

Jihad With The Moodys?

Egyptian Spring With The Moodys?

I don't know if Sarah has any knowledge about these things. Might be to violent for her virginal ears/eyes.

How prevalent is discussion of the Arab Spring in the queues of her local Costco? That's the main source of information of the outside world for Poor Sarah. (The thought that they vote, despite being so horrendously uninformed appalls me).

Don't go giving the U.S. fundies ideas! Blue laws (governing things like closing stores on Sundays) are virtually non-existent here. I don't think it's so much a recognition that we are a pluralistic society as it is that Christians like to go shopping and out to eat on Sundays.

And yet in my state you still can't buy anything other than 3.2 beer on a Sunday. :?

Maybe they will devote a whole blog post to troubleshooting the hacker problem using the valuable skills the On Ramp guys have... pardon me, the valuable skills God gave the On Ramp guys.

But they will probably end up ignoring the problem, as it may end up in a territory which will most definitely undermine Stevie's grasp on the Maxwell cult system. Moreover, how come the blog and website are not adequately protected against unbeliever attacks? God needs to redirect its efforts... let's pray about it and see!

The blog (not the entire website) appears to be down again. Are they on someone's shit list? If so, why not take the entire Titus2 site down? 1 Ton Ramp failure here, for sure.

I have always wondered about this. In my country, the websites of fundy schools, newspapers or other institutions are down on sunday. When you try to reach them, you will get a message about no working on Sundays. Is that unusual in other country's?

I have genuinely never heard of a website closed on Sunday before. Do they have some tech who stays up until midnight Saturday and comes in at midnight Sunday, or is it sunrise/sunset? Or can you set it up to just display a "closed" splash page very 7 days, or, how does that work? And, for the sake of idle curiosity, what country are you from?

My state finally got rid of the stupid law about not buying alcohol on Sundays...BUT you have to wait until noon, which is fun when you go to a grocery store that opens at 9 a.m. and all the alcohol is roped off and if you want wine for dinner you have to come back later. Seeing the beer and wine roped off it such a perfect example of pointless narrow-minded arbitrary rule-following - couldn't make this shit up if you tried. (And no, I'm not knocking the store itself - they have to follow the law.)

I love it. SOMUCH.

I bet there will be commentary about infidels and non-believers and how Jesus brought the internet back to them.

C'mon - you KNOW their faithful followers must be kept on tenterhooks before they're fed Maxwell-approved information, one tidbit at a time...

So tempted to leave a comment on their blog, asking if they have been tortured by Yemeni jihadists and/or federal agents, but I have this fear of Steve having my email address (bad enough I get mail from Vision Forum). On the other hand, posting this here usually elicits a response fom Steve (hi, Steve!).

The email address you post under doesn't need to be real, it just has to look like it. A variation on Faketyfaketyfamily@blessingmail.com will do. (Blessingmail is a Christian email provider). Or you can always set up an extra hotmail account to deal with fundie spam.

Sounds like my beloved Massachusetts! If you go to NH you can often get around any blue laws (and sales tax lol), and many towns that are within 10 miles of the NH state line will have their stores open earlier as they have generally been exempt from blue laws (I think that this also applies to towns near CT as well).

This is hilarious.

Also, it's not uncommon for the websites of businesses run by Orthodox Jews to have a splash page up on Shabbat (Friday night to Saturday night) saying that they don't do business on the Sabbath or holidays. Eichler's and Artscroll both do it, I believe, as does B&H Photo/Video- obviously in the case of B&H, it hasn't hurt their business any.

First of all, Jihad with the Moodys is providing with me with an almost unreasonable amount of glee. I cannot stop laughing. Tears, I tell you, tears.

And what the ever-loving fuck is Christian email? Do they ensure that nasty pornographic spam subject lines never touch your virgin eyes? This is seriously a thing?

*goes off to investigate 'Christian' email providers.*

Also, how have we not snarked this dig at FJ? It has to be, after all the mockery of Stevehovah and his control of their food:

"In addition, we enjoy lots of talking. Eating passes time too. We have our own little snack cupboard, where tasty things like beef jerky, granola bars, nuts, rice cakes, and crackers are located."

Do note the excellent passive construction! Most American bloggers trying to convey a "chatty" style ("Hey everyone! Come look at how we live on our tour bus!") would write "where we store tasty things like...." But even the tasty snacks must be anonymously and passively located in the little snack cupboard.

Are we REALLY supposed to believe that Steve lets them snack idly, just "to pass the time" and not to nourish Teh Lord's temple?

Or even, 'which contains tasty things such as'. Also, 'things' is really lazy writing; 'We have a little cupboard which contains tasty snacks.'

Gaaah, I can't believe I'm trying to edit Maxwell prose.

I never knew that Christian email providers were a "thing". And there are so many of them! Is Jesus able to stop spam or something? The provider I chose THE LORD led me to sign up with asked me about all sorts of interests, which leads me to suspect that there will be a shit-ton of (Christian) spamvertisements in that mailbox should I ever open it.

Oh, heck no. First, the cupboard is described (note passive voice!!) as "little." I picture it as one of those tiny stowaway lockers, maybe a cubic foot of space. Second, I am sure that they need to pray over any want for a snack, and then ask Stevehovah if the Little Snack Cupboard can yield some of its contents to the hungry family. I imagine any snack plundering would merit a trip to the Little Prayer Closet.

They probably still have scheduled 'snack time'-fifteen minutes to eat their animal crackers twice a day. I'm not sure what's more depressing, Teri scheduling the lives of her adult children or Steve rationing their snacks.
