Since you will NEVER post my comment on your blog, I am posting it here. For the love of baby Jesus, can you tell me why in world your daughter-in-law is showing her bra strap? Dear God woman, how can we take you and your Titus 2 "ministry" seriously when your family are dressing in such provocative manner? Then another girl is showing her shoulder!

I think you forgot your post from January 11th, "Be His Private Garden". Here is what you had to say then:

A chaste woman is a modest woman. God speaks of a woman maintaining her chastity and purity by the clothes she wears. She needs to be her husband's private garden, not a public park.

'In like manner also, that women adorn themselves in modest apparel...which becomes women professing godliness.'

God says a woman's apparel should profess godliness...It is impossible for a woman to understand a man's visual drive. She can only believe what an honest and candid man tells her, but few men are willing to admit to their weakness..dress as you would dress for the Judgment Seat of Christ.

Years ago, we had our sons read Every Young Man's Battle. We wanted them to be prepared to handle their powerful sex drive in a godly way. We wanted them to flee sexual temptation and pornography. We wanted them to know how damaging it is to men and families. We wanted them to be prepared for battle.

One friend of mine read this book and made the comment to me, "This book makes it sound like all men are perverts." Most men are not perverts. God made them with a strong sex drive that enjoys the female body. He probably made it that way, so we would keep having sweet babies!

My husband has been very honest with me about men's visual attraction. He has told me at times things I couldn't wear and I obeyed him. Men are turned on by seeing women's flesh, the more the better. We, as godly women, must understand this and teach this to our daughters. Therefore, I taught my daughters that bikinis and tight skirts and shorts are immodest. Any honest, heterosexual man will admit to that being true.

True godly men want a modest wife. They don't want a wife that dresses immodestly and causes other men to lust after. Teach and encourage your daughters to dress modestly. It is pleasing to the Lord and pleasing Him is a wonderful thing.

Lori's daughter Cassi is obviously on the marriage market. She's written how she didn't want to go to college or get her teaching credential, she just wanted to get started taking care of a family or a husband (at 18, I guess). But her father insisted she go to college and get her teaching license. Now, however, she just works 4 days a week at an orthodontists office, and seems to be trolling the internet for a husband. She has a website where she just posts pictures of meals she has created (no recipes, husbands don't need those). I think she is having a hard time finding a husband who'll agree to let her stay at home always -- all the time-- being a helpmeet.

It's odd (and hypocritical) she has that posts, unless her modesty standards are extremely lax. The pictures shows her daughters regularly wearing pants and skimpy clothes.

Lori and her family are more on the fundie lite scale. There are fundie lite types are cool with pants for women, but they are against stuff like tank tops, off the shoulder tops, shorts, etc. I think Lori and her family seem to be ok with that stuff. I think Lori's daughter Cassi is 20 or 21. I recall a posting where Lori said she had transferred colleges. Maybe Cassi is having a hard time funding a hubby among fundie lite circles. If she tried in more hardcore fundie circles, she might have an easier time finding a husband.

I think Cassi is 22 or 23. She graduated college last year, and her dad took her to Hawaii to take some credentialing exams (I don't understand why Hawaii). She went to Biola college for a year, then it got too expensive, so she finished somewhere else, maybe it was community college?
