Feminism: Women are People

Feminism: the radical notion that women are people.

I'm not sure where the quote originated from but I saw it repeated in a trollish thread on feminism and glad to see this obvious truth make a (regular) reappearance.

In that vein, you might enjoy this opinion piece: 'Subject for Debate - Are Women People?'

As obvious as it sounds, I really do think this is the gold standard for any definition of and discourse on feminism. So for those of you who don't grasp the concept, here you go :)

Edited for typo.

If any FJers haven't read Alice Duer Miller's "Are Women People?" satirical suffragist poems you need to, and I mean right now. I have no idea why I had never heard of her until recently.

She was basically all over the bullshit arguments we still see trotted out here, 100 years ago. Just amazing. :D
