The Doctor Eugene Botkin who was Tsar Nicholas II's personal physician and was killed at Ekaterinburg in 1917?

Just wondering.

I doubt it. Given Geoff Botkin's intellectual snobbery, they wouldn't pass up a chance to connect themselves with Dr. Botkin if it was possible.

I suppose it's possible, but I doubt it. Seems that if they were descendents of Dr. Eugue Botkin, they'd be traveling to Russia and making movies about that, rather than Egypt. Dr. Botkin is considered a saint/martyr by the Russian Orthodox Church, and you know they'd be all over that - the heroic doctor taking a bullet (or a dozen) for the the sweet virginal daughters of the Tsar.

Plus think of the costume possibilties!! Russian court dress is gorgeous!

So yeah, if they were related to Dr. Botkin, we'd know :)
