An Australian court has placed a 16-year-old girl on the airport watch list to prevent an arranged marriage taking place in Lebanon.

What an incredibly brave girl.

Good on her for sticking up for herself and getting herself help.

I hope she can be an inspiration for others in a similar situation.

I've been hearing about this a lot on the news. Apparently her father wasn't too keen on the arranged marriage either, but he didn't do anything about it (not sure how true that is, I only heard it on the radio). Either way, she is an incredibly brave girl!

As an aside; this was not an arranged marriage, it was a forced marriage. Different things entirely.
