I think there's a danger of her starting to say things that aren't factual.

I don't think she'd know actual facts if they bit her in the behind.

Oh, I agree, she's a master of deceit but I do agree with her about Pencey. So far she hasn't said anything that goes against the beliefs of the majority in that house but she could be doing this to win the game. She's a well-known backstabber.

The other house guests don't know what to make of her.  There are two Omarosa's.  The good one and the evil one.

Well, she does come with a reputation. I think she's trying to sell a version of herself as being changed by the horrible experience of working in the WH.

https://www.hollywoodreporter.com/news/new-report-claims-omarosa-fired-using-white-house-car-service-1084213?utm_source=t.co&utm_medium=referral

The Hollywood Reporter cites a Politico article in this saying she got fired for using White House car service and not the I resigned as she stated.

Quote

The reasoning behind the former Trump aide's dismissal comes in the wake of the recent episode of 'Celebrity Big Brother,' in which she cautioned that Americans should be fearful of "scary" Vice President Mike Pence.

Omarosa Manigault Newman dramatically departed from the White House, with rumors continuing to swirl about why she left her job and whether it was voluntary or if she was forced out.

Though the former Trump aide insisted she resigned from her White House post rather than being fired and escorted off the grounds, a new Politico report claims that White House Chief of Staff John Kelly fired Manigault Newman after she was discovered to have been using the White House car service known as, “CARPET.” Manigualt Newman reportedly used it as an office pickup and drop-off service, which is forbidden by the federal government.

After Kelly dismissed Manigault Newman, she allegedly stormed the White House residence trying to appeal her firing with Trump. According to one of the officials, the reality star accidentally tripped an electronic Secret Service wire that monitors entry to and exit from the White House residence.

The explanation for Manigault Newman’s firing comes in the wake of the reality star’s words about Vice President Mike Pence in the recent episode of Celebrity Big Brother, on which she is a castmember.

"Can I just say this? As bad as y’all think Trump is, you would be worried about Pence,” Manigault Newman warned her Big Brother cast. Further cautioning, “We would be begging for days of Trump back if Pence became President, that’s all I’m saying. He’s extreme."

Manigualt Newman argued that Pence is “scary,” because he believes Jesus Christ instructs him to say certain things. "I’m Christian. I love Jesus, but he thinks Jesus tells him to say things — I’m like, ‘Jesus didn’t say that.’ Scary.”

Earlier in the season, Manigault Newman also warned about Trump, explaining how she is “haunted by tweets every single day” and the public should be worried because, “it’s not going to be OK.”

White House deputy press secretary Raj Shah debunked Manigault Newman’s comments, explaining that her views shouldn’t be taken seriously. "Omarosa was fired three times on The Apprentice, and this was the fourth time we let her go. She had limited contact with the president while here. She has no contact now."

Manigault Newman and her fellow Celebrity Big Brother castmembers, including Mark McGrath and Brandi Glanville, are residing at the Big Brother house and will be under 24/7 surveillance for the show's live feed. The reality star temporarily left the show after suffering an asthma attack.

"this was the fourth time we let her go"? Who is "we"? Do they see this administration as an extension of The Apprentice?

I don't believe that you only just figured that out, @GrumpyGran. :pb_wink:

This administration is being run like a reality show from the very beginning, with weekly scandals, salacious slander and shameless scurrility, and a special news dump cliffhanger every Friday.

Why else do you think the presidunce is so obsessed with ratings?

"Omarosa gets evicted from the ‘Celebrity Big Brother’ house"

Spoiler

She compared the White House to a plantation, said that the president tweets in his underwear and that the situation inside 1600 Penn was bad, like “so bad.” But none of those True White House Confessions helped “reality show legend” Omarosa Manigault Newman win “Celebrity Big Brother.”

It has been a headline-making ride for the reality star turned White House staffer, who on Sunday night was evicted from the “Celebrity Big Brother” house during the two-hour finale. And in true Omarosa fashion, there was plenty of melodrama in her final moments.

With her potential eviction looming, she had one last chance to plead her case in front of the four other remaining houseguests. The speech that followed was equal parts stump and sermon.

“We are facing a pivotal moment in this country, but we cannot allow hatred, division and bigotry to tear us down,” Omarosa said. “We are one nation under God, and with the power of the vote, the ballot and bringing our diversity to allow us to unite, we can change this country to be together, united under God.”

After that impassioned entreaty, Omarosa’s fellow competitors unanimously voted her out.

For the past 2½ weeks, the most pressing question at the beginning of each episode has been, “What’s she gonna say next?” as the former Trump insider spent most of her camera time revealing juicy tidbits about the inner workings of the West Wing. Omarosa began the season with a bang, diving immediately into her 11-month stint as a White House communications director.

With tears in her eyes, she told houseguest Ross Mathews that she was “haunted” by President Trump’s tweets “every single day.” When asked for reassurance about the state of the Trump White House, Omarosa responded bluntly: “It’s gonna not be okay. It’s not. It’s so bad.” She also said she wouldn’t vote for Trump again “in a million years.”

The vice president also drew Omarosa’s ire.

“We would be begging for days of Trump back if Pence became president,” she said, adding that Vice President Pence was “extreme.” “I’m Christian. I love Jesus. But he thinks Jesus tells him to say things.”

Nothing about her time in the Trump White House was off limits, and as her days inside the “Big Brother” house wore on, Omarosa’s tongue loosened up more and more. When contestant Brandi Glanville of “Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” “fame” asked the former “Apprentice” star whether she’d ever slept with her former boss, Omarosa was scandalized — at first.

“Hell no! Of course not. Brandi, that’s horrible,” Omarosa said, but of course she didn’t leave it there. “There’s somebody in the White House that’s sleeping around with everybody, but she is not me. . . . I’ve never had to do that.”

When Glanville doubled down, explaining that Trump “seemed to like” Omarosa “so much,” the former “Apprentice” villain had a quick comeback: “I’m just ratings gold.”

During her exit interview with “Big Brother” host Julie Chen, Omarosa said the show gave her the opportunity to “let her hair down” and “really be authentic.” She added that she wanted to “let people know who the true Omarosa is.”

After spending most of her time on the show blasting the Trump White House (so much so that she earned an official burn from the press briefing room), Omarosa had one last message of hope, telling Chen that the United States would survive if “we make a pivot as a nation.”

:my_rolleyes:"Omarosa says she tried to be ‘the voice of reason’ in Trump White House"

Spoiler

Late-night host Stephen Colbert didn’t waste any time during his one-on-one interview with former White House staffer and reality star Omarosa Manigault Newman on Wednesday night. Gone was the friendly banter and feigned camaraderie of a typical talk show pit stop. Who cared about Omarosa’s next “project?” All the “Late Show” host — and the rest of the country — really wanted to know was what she really thought about President Trump.

Before finishing in fifth place, Omarosa spent most of her recent stint on “Celebrity Big Brother” bashing her former boss and his administration. Most memorably she told a fellow house guest that America’s future looked bleak: “It’s going to not be okay. It’s not,” she said.

“What do you mean by that?” Colbert asked. This being Omarosa — the original reality show villain who by her own admission is “ratings gold” — there could always be wiggle room.

Omarosa responded with a laugh. Straight-faced, Colbert pressed on.

“And what was that, a joke? Because you’re laughing about it but he’s chilled and I’m chilled by watching it because you know Donald Trump and you were in the White House and you were close to the events that were happening,” Colbert said. “What do you mean it’s not going to be okay?”

Omarosa explained that her most quoted line from the competition was “part of a larger discussion” she was having with fellow contestant Ross Mathews about immigration.

“That’s why I was a bit emotional. Because what’s happening with a lot of the immigrants who are being put out of this country without giving them the consideration that this is a nation of immigrants and that we should have compassion, particularly with ‘dreamers,’” she said.

“I’ll ask you again,” Colbert said. “Is everything going to be okay under Donald Trump?”

“We’ll have to wait and see,” answered Omarosa.

The audience booed, either in response to Omarosa’s evasive spin or to Trump in general.

During the rest of their time together, Colbert essentially tried to get the reality show vet to explain her decision to work in the Trump White House. The comedian even ran through a list of what he believed to be the president’s most controversial lowlights — bragging about grabbing women, the Muslim ban, supporting Roy Moore, insulting Sen. John McCain, “throwing paper towels” at hurricane survivors in Puerto Rico — and asked Omarosa to respond. She called each moment “awful” but added that she didn’t regret trying to be “the voice of reason at the table.”

“Watching him in this position has caused me to be excited sometimes and sometimes be very concerned,” she said. “I think if you woke up tomorrow and your best friend was president, you’d have that same range of emotions.”

“If my best friend was president tomorrow, I’d feel better because she is way smarter than I am,” answered Colbert.

My eyes got stuck while rolling.

I know you all wanted to see the Omarosa interview.

Well maybe you didn't but here it is anyway.

She implies that Trump was her best friend.

Breaking: Omarosa has no friends.

Just wanted to clarify:

I think Omarosa's book will be a heaping helping of gossipy bullshit, but in this political climate, we need a little gossipy bullshit everyday to give our brains a break from the Trump nightmare.

I plan to wait until it hits Kindle Unlimited, then I can read it for free. That's the maximum I plan to spend on anything of Omarosa's.

Lordy, lordy, lordy!   The main tidbit I heard was that she thought Trump had deteriorated mentally (serious decline) since she knew him earlier.  No surprise there.
