Baltimore Teacher Loses Her Mind (and patience)

TW: this teacher is obs at the end of her rope and screams some very inappropriate stuff at her students.  I am relieved she was fired, as clearly this is not her line of work.  There are probably 100 different ways to approach the situation.

I had to share, because I am appalled.... Oy.

That's completely unacceptable. 

Working with adolescents with mental health and behavioral disorders myself, I can certainly understand feeling stressed out and overwhelmed at work... but I have never lashed out at the kids that way or been tempted to do so. That's just a wrong action no matter what.

Adults need to find ways to manage their own stress without using racial slurs and profanity toward children, period.

Yes, this teacher lost it. But it is pretty typical of the City of Baltimore Public School system (as opposed to Baltimore County Public Schools). Teacher burn out is insanely high. Kids just don't care and I can only imagine how frustrating it is for teachers that do. To understand the situation better, you can read here:
