Michael Pearl against Patriarchy?

I am aware of the Pearl's article on patriarchy, and I do not think it is an example of any good that can be found in their article. Rather, I think it is an insidious redefinition of patriarchy. When patriarchy is defined specifically include stay-at-home adult children, family models like that of the Pearls are not included in that category. Yes, the Pearls may seem to let go of their adult children, but long after these children had their independent will beat out of them.

WTF?! A weeks-old infant cannot develop a conviction of any kind. If a parent is not meeting their weeks-old infant's every need, they are a shitty parent. It is a parent's fucking job to meet the needs of their children. Argh these people are vile.

I'm convinced that "parents" who follow the Pearl's methods are nothing but a bunch of lazy asses who are just too stupid to actually, you know, TEACH their children. Too much time and thinking involved, makes their brains hurt. So why think when you can hit?
