Uriah Maxwell

It's none other than Priscilla, Queen of the Desert. It's perfect!

I'd heard of PQOTD and had the general idea that it was a fun, campy gay show. But didn't know that the drag queens in the story *named their bus/van.

Oh, won't the Maxwells be delighted?

:D

Uriah and Priscilla can run away to Reno together. The Maxwell's would rather die than attend a wedding with Uriah's new inlaws anyway.

OMG, they need a courtship....

I completely agree! No getting gas through the same hose, until AFTER the wedding! ;)

No I think Uriah and Priscilla need to elope to Vegas. Either that or they should live in sin. Can you image the scandal!

Maybe Priscilla isn't a girl but. But then, maybe Uriah's not a straight as the Maxwells want to think either...

Of course Uriah has issues, why do you think he is always popping out windshields? He cannot be free to be himself and the stress is so much he blows!

Thoughtful - your LOLURIAH is awesome!

Glad you like it.

Clearly, Priscilla was trying to wear a headcovering, but it just got away from her!

It's tough when you have to use humans as hairpins.

:D

Perhaps Priscilla's parents have something similar to the McDonalds' courtship questionnaire:

1. What is the present day application of the Mosaic Law?

2. How would those who know you well describe your personal character?

3. Describe your relationship with your father [and mother]? Was (is) it honoring? Was (is) it obedient?

4. Can you describe your relationship with your grandparents?

5. Can you describe your relationship with your friends? Have you ever been peer-dependent? How did you resist this?

6. Are you consistently faithful in fulfilling your commitments?

7. Do you show a regular willingness to serve others? In what ways?

8. How do you relate to authority in your life? If so, what adjectives would your employers use to describe you?

9. Are you ever manipulative of others?

10. What circumstances might make you impatient or angry? How do you handle anger? Have you ever been violent? Do you raise your voice when angry?

11. What are your beliefs regarding diet? Are your eating habits disciplined? Do you have any food dislikes? Are you a vegetarian?

12. Do you have any physical or mental disabilities or diseases? Any allergies? Prior or current health problems?

13. Do you drink alcohol? Smoke?

14. Are your spending habits disciplined? Do you tithe? What is your view of debt?

15. What is your level of personal cleanliness and hygiene?

16. What is your stand on abortion? What about in the case of rape?

17. What are your thoughts regarding birth control and family planning?

18. What are your standards of propriety in dress? How do you dress?

19. Do you watch television, R-rated movies? PG-rated movies? What were the last five movies you watched?

20. Have you ever been in trouble with the law?

21. What tendencies do you have toward prejudice or racism?

22. What is your attitude toward pets?

23. What are your political leanings?

24. What is your attitude toward family (home) business?

29. What is the role of psychology in the life of a Christian?

30. Can you describe your life purpose, i.e., how you intend to use your interests, experiences, skills, and talents to serve and glorify God?

Now, Priscilla has lived a pretty wild life, but, if her folks are interested in someone like Uriah for her, they might be Fundie vehicles. Hmmmm, now what would be the automotive version of that questionnaire?

1. What is the present day application of the traffic code?

2. How would those who know you well describe your upholstery?

3. Describe your relationship with your manufacturer. Was (is) it honoring? Was (is) it obedient?

4. Can you describe your relationship with Henry Ford?

5. Can you describe your relationship with your garage-mates? Have you ever needed to be jump-started by one of them?

6. Are you consistently faithful in fulfilling your commitments to get where you are supposed to go without breaking down, sinking into the street, or popping a windshield?

7. Do you show a regular willingness to convey others? In what ways?

8. How do you relate to authority in your life? Are you steerable?

9. Are you ever manipulative of others? Does your gas guage ever show "E" when you really don't need any? Does your "check engine" light pop on every time you hit a bump? Do you sometimes purposely not start on the first try?

10. How do you handle anger? Do you rev hot?

11. What are your beliefs regarding diet? Are your eating habits disciplined? Do you take diesel?

12. Do you have any physical or mental disabilities or diseases? Popping windshields, transmission issues, broken axles?

13. Do you drink ethanol or have stinky exhaust?

14. Is your Shell credit card paid off?

15. Do you go to car washes, or get washed in the driveway? How often?

16. What is your stand on scrapping unfinished cars?

17. What are your thoughts regarding the manufacture of mass quiverfuls of cars?

18. What are your standards of propriety in paint and trim? Do you have flames painted on you? Do you have naked lady mudflaps or truck balls?

19. Do you show R-rated movies? PG-rated movies? What were the last five movies played on your DVD player? Did any involve auto-eroticism?

20. Have you ever been impounded?

21. What tendencies do you have toward prejudice or racism? Have you ever run over a person of color?

22. What is your attitude toward pets, assuming they don't pee inside you and only shed minimally?

23. Are you a red or blue vehicle?

24. What is your attitude toward family (home) business? Would you be OK with being a slave to a cottage industry?

25. What do you value most highly on the road?

26. What do you tend to do with your spare tire?

27. What are your thoughts on alternative energy sources?

28. What are your thoughts on regular oil changes?

29. What is the role of a mechanic in the life of a Christian bus?

30. Can you describe your life purpose, i.e., how you intend to use your interests, experiences, skills, and talents to serve and glorify a bunch of people who think they need to go all over the country to push their warped version of God?

My niece is going to be a seat filler at this year's Academy Awards.  Seat fillers are asked to wear tuxedos regardless of sex/gender.  If you see a pretty young woman with very curly hair, it could be my niece.

It’s not supposed to be mosquito season right now but I still appear to have been bitten twice on the side of my foot. Bastards. I know I shouldn’t scratch but it’s so tempting… 😑

      Hello,

I'm brand new to this forum. It was suggested to me by former and outspoken Remnant Fellowship member (Natasha Pavlovich) that I join this forum and put out here what I do. She also warned me that no one on here trusts, or trusts easily, and that I'd likely be assumed to be a Remnant plant or spy until vetted and verified as not that. Fair enough.
In short, and in truth, I'm a psychotherapist with 25 yrs experience in Franklin TN (less than three miles from RF incidentally) with a special interest in working with people formerly associated with cults, cult-like or any and all high control intitutions. I'm especially interested in working with those desiring not only deconstruct, recover and learn to thrive post-indoctrination, but those desiring to recapture or cultivate an authentic sense of theology without walls, or spirituality with borders.
To date, I've worked with former Amish, Mennonite, LDS/FLDS, FOG, and a those representing a whole slew of evangelical, fire and brimstone fear/shame/guilt-inducing institutions.
I am especially interested in working with former Remnant Fellowship and Scientology members. I view RF as basically Scientology without the budget.
I'll leave it there. Much more can be gleaned about me through my website: therapyoutsidethebox.com or IG: @ therapyoutsidethebox

      Peace,

I have a friend with untreated autism and ADHD. I've tried so fucking hard to help. He refuses. It's a mess. I'm really really tired.

Happy Supper Bowel Sunday!!  No, wait. That isn't right...
Anyway, enjoy the game (or the half time show, or the ads)!
And a very happy Sunday to everyone who doesn't care about the NFL!

I'm a huge baseball fan. This year, MLB TV showed Liga Dominicana games in December and January and it was a fucking revelation. The players had so much fire and joy. The announcers with their charming DR accents were a blast, though I could hardly keep up with the Spanish. DItto the Serie del Caribe. As a White Sox fan, the MLB season is going to suffer by comparison. Te amo los Tigres del Licey!
