Actor and Academy Award winner, William Hurt passed away from prostate cancer. He was 71.

He also played Duke Leto Atreides in the 2000 Dune miniseries that was shown on what was then the Sci-Fi channel.  He did a decent enough job of it but of course when I hear the name Leto Atreides I immediately think Jürgen Prochnow.  

Rest in peace Mr. Hurt.

Ever since he died, I've been seeing story after story of how he was horribly abusive to the women in his life.  They seem reputable,  including Marlee Matlin.
