Howdy New VF Interns

According to the VF Interns application Monday was your first day at your new position. May I be the first to congratulate you on your accomplishment! I am assuming you are now out of orientation and diving head first into your new job. Since one of the jobs of the VF intern is to lurk at FJ, I thought I'd give you a brief tour of the site to help you out, because I'm a nice person like that.

Right now you are in A Quiverfull of Snark. This is where you will be spending most of your time as here is where most of the discussion of Dougie and VF happens. First and foremost, you will want to bookmark the following thread entitled LOLDOUG (http://freejinger.org/viewtopic.php?f=8&t=24). It is in this thread we mock your fearless leader by captioning humorous pictures. I understand that you may find some of it a bit mean, but really Dougie just makes it too easy for us, half of them write themselves. Also, please acquaint yourself with the concept of fair use prior to reading this thread.

Also in A Quiverfull of Snark, you will find us discussing other patriarchal fools such as Gothard, Ray Comfort and Botkins and lots of fundie families (some royalty some not). In addition, you will find other topics on politics and feminism which I encourage you to read with an open mind. Next, there is A Quiverfull of Chatter, not much there of interest to you, but I would check it out in your spare time. Finally, there is A Quiverfull of Worldy Distractions. At this site you can check out all the awesome worldy things you are missing while you are playing dress-up with Dougie.

Well that is all I can think of for now. Enjoy your fellowship and remember to check your spelling.

Also: remember to wear the name badges at work, as your identical haircuts/suits/ties/skin colour/opinions may otherwise make identification difficult.

Maybe I'm a weirdo, but the muscles are too much for me. Then again, I like my men lanky and nerdy. (And my women curvy and nerdy.)

Dougie, on the other hand, likes his women in the kitchen and his men holding his anaconda.

Probably, but they're gay porn stars. I'm sure when it's time to get down, no one has any complaints.

Doesn't that photo remind you of Courtney "puke" Stoddard Hutchinson? The face especially. I think CSH wants to channel AnnMargaret but fails largely.

I can kinda see that - I think CSH misses the mark with too much lip and boob. And annoying random lip licking.

The guy in the middle (with the Freddie Mercury overbite - almost) has the better muscular body than the other 2 (IMO) because they're more proportional. He's not being swallowed up by his muscles. Although, as much as I like men without chest hair, no leg hair looks kinda weird.

But, everyone's different. :)

      Stupid loneliness!
      Kid 1 went back to college (yeah! But sad foe me, she stayed with me all summer. It was nice to start a new phase in our mother/daughter relationship)
      Zero prospects on dates. (Not that I have tried online dating, scared of that but I have reached put to a new group at church, etc.
      I asked a friend to go to dinner the other night so I wasn't eating alone, again. The friend had plans, all my friends always have plans. I see stuff on social media, I'm never invited. I'm single, I'm the 3rd or 5th wheel.
      My one parent friend at kid 2's fall sport won't be there because their daughter made varsity (Yeah for her!!! Seriously happy for her. Sad for me for another sport I basically sit alone, did that majority of spring and summer sporting events.)
      And now I'm crying as my mom told me 2 different funny stores that former teachers remembered about my twin. Both stories were about how they got a crack out of my twin's antics (my parents went to a funeral today and saw former colleagues). Teachers remember me (after all I was a twin and teachers' kid) but none would have memorable stories of me. 
      I feel invisible. 
      Don't worry, this will pass,  it always does. I just need a pity party for a few days. I'm not in anyway going to harm myself. As lonely as I am, I have a very full life I (usually) love. I just needed to vent and cry for a moment.

      Absolutely awful about the fires on Maui. In 2019, I stayed in Lahaina. I liked to sit on the sea wall, which is the only structure left now, and watch the water. People are receiving help, but many had to leave pets. Please donate to the Maui Humane Society, which is leading efforts to find, treat, and reunite pets.
