Attention Wal-Mart shoppers...

A Walmart shopper arrested Saturday night for stealing a sex toy, lubricant, and a “vibrating penis ring” told police that she was “too lazy” to pay for the items, which she had stashed in her purse.

Therasa Prine, 25, was collared after exiting a Walmart in St. Petersburg, according to an arrest affidavit.

While Prine paid for some items, she allegedly sought to boost other goods, including a Trojan Ultra Touch personal massager, K-Y Intense Arousal Gel, and a LifeStyles vibrating ring.

In addition to a shoplifting count, Prine is facing narcotics charges since cops found marijuana and the painkiller Dilaudid in her purse.

Wally World sells sex toys?  I suppose everybody who doesn't like that is too busy making fools of themselves down at Target to get all outraged about the sexy time toys at their retail outlet of choice.

Yeah.  Then again Wally World brings out the stupid in every state, not just Florida.

I worked at a Wally World for just about two years.  That was long enough to permanently turn me off on Wally World.  It was so nice to graduate college and get in to an IT job with a company where November and December were considered the slow season.

Wait. Walmart sells sex toys? My local one only carries condoms and lube.

Huh. A sex toy, lube AND a "vibrating penis ring"?

She doesn't sound all that lazy to me...

I'm torn between "what an idiot" and "you go girl! Take control of your sexuality!"

I'm leaning towards the idiot column myself, mainly because she did not pay for the merchandise.  If she had paid for them that's when I'd lean towards the you go girl column.  Of course if she had paid for the sexy time materials then she wouldn't have wound up getting arrested, on The Smoking Gun, and on to here and other sites.

You see headlines in the news that say "Florida man... or Florida woman...." immediately followed by something stupid on almost a daily basis.   You also see headlines just as frequently about stupid things that happen at Wally World.

Put the two and two together and you get a recipe for stupid with sugar on top.

ETA I swear people's IQ drops about 50 points the minute they enter a Wally World.

As soon as I read the headline my first thought was "Please don't be Florida!"  Alas... it was Florida.  It's almost always Florida.

Well, you have to pay pretty close attention to find them. It isn't like a wall of dildos. Lol. KY sells a "massager" in a package with lube, I think, and there are some other small sex-enhancement items. But it definitely isn't like your regular sex toy shop.

I can't imagine conservative Wal-Mart selling sex toys.

Doesn't Wal-Mart still sell semi-automatic rifles? I think Wal-Mart would sell rocket launchers and suicide vests if they could get away with it.

I just talked to somebody I know somebody who works at my local Walmart. Sure enough, all they have are condoms and lube. Alabama is an ultra conservative state, so maybe what Walmart carries varies by state or town?

Dontcha know that the 2nd Amendment is the most important one of the constitution?  Therefore I must be able to buy an AK-47, grenades, rocket launchers at Walmart.  And I should be able to drive down the street to my local car dealer and buy a tank (if the dealer is unAmerican and tanks are not available, a Hummer will do in a pinch).

But womenfolks enjoying their sexuality?  Is this within a straight white Christian marriage with the intent to conceive a child?  Then blasphemy!!!11!!!!!!  We must pass laws that make these items difficult to obtain?  Let's start with showing a government issued photo ID and marriage license to buy sex toys.  Then a 24 hour waiting period.  And your name shall be published in the media.

(I nearly vomited in my mouth writing this post--- is this a good impression of a redneck good ol' boy?)

Wimmens enjoy sexuality??!?  I thought we were just supposed to lie there and think of England, or the US, or something like that. Or, alternately, to stare at the ceiling and think about repainting the bedroom ("beige..."), or taking care of those darned cobwebs.

Meanwhile, up in Massachusetts...

The shopping list was short and sweet: No butter, milk, eggs or bread, just some vibrators and lubricant, according to authorities, who are looking for a trio of alleged bandits who stole from a local drugstore Wednesday.

West Springfield police are asking citizens who recognize any of the people in the photo above – a woman and two men – to call detectives at 413-263-3210.

They are suspected of stealing several items from the CVS pharmacy at 928 Riverdale St., including one Intimina vibrator, three bullet vibrators, and two boxes of KY Lubricant.

"The suspects acted together, w/ the male wearing the dark jacket holding the items at the time the trio fled the store," police said in a Facebook post Wednesday afternoon.

Or as the late Robin Williams said, "one day you are making love like -- do you realize the garage door is open?"

Seems to me like many conservatives like the porn stars they're seeing on the side to be wild and adventurous, but they expect their wives to shut their eyes and think of England when doing their wifely duties.

Dang it. I was at Walmart today, thanks to my mother, who loves going there but doesn't drive anymore so I get to take her. Walked right past the condom/lube displays on my way to another department, and totally missed my chance to stop and peruse the sex toys. I always miss out on the good stuff.

Ugh, that'll probably be coming for me, my brother, or my sister in law too in a few years where we have to drive the parental units everywhere and be expected to accompany them everywhere - including into Wally World.  They're both getting close to 70 now and mom isn't too enthused now about driving at night or in unfamiliar places.

Yeah, brace yourself. My mom actually can still drive, but she's 80, and she's not used to the traffic here, coming from a much less busy town. Once in a very long while she'll go to the grocery store right down the street from her apartment, or to the bank or library, equally close by, but I try to anticipate her driving needs and do it for her. I won't even let her drive to my house, four miles away, because certain intersections between us are nightmares. Luckily she and I get along really well. LOL.

And then there's my in-laws, who also live nearby, and who don't even own a car anymore. FIL had a stroke and had his license taken away. MIL has Alzheimer's. So we're pretty busy as a taxi service, needless to say! Thankfully, there  are other family members on that side who help, though.

With my Grandparents I don't think either of them hardly ever drove their last car, a light blue late 90s Oldsmobile.  Mainly one of my aunts or uncles would go get their car and then drive them around in that.  Grandma would just go to the mailbox in the car - the mailbox was a good 1/4 mile from their house - they lived at the end of a long driveway.  Grandpa would drive to church on weekends but that was pretty much it.  Anything else someone would drive them.  I drove them myself a couple times when they were both using walkers.

My mom likes going to see my sister but doesn't care much for the traffic in St. Louis - especially on the interstates.

My grandpa is in his early 80s and still gets along great behind the wheel.  The only thing that makes him nervous is the interstate and he just uses backroads to avoid them.

Neither of my grandmas can drive anymore though, but they live in another state so I'm not around for the transport portion of their day to day life very frequently.

I did see what it'll be like in the future once my grandpa (and eventually my parents) reach that point when he had surgery a couple of years ago.  He was miserable and grouchy being driven around "like a toddler"

My daughter stopped by Walmart after work one night to get some supplies for a school project it was around 11:00pm and she texted me that it was really busy and lots of strange people were walking around. Lol.

I never checked the condom isle I'm curious now. I actually am taking my elderly mother there tomorrow. She ran out of dog food and always "forgets" about the bus that goes there 4 times a week where she lives.
