More trouble for the Benham family?

I'm mostly a lurker here, rarely a poster, so I apologize if it's weird for me to be starting a thread.

I just got an email from Change.Org about a man named McCleish C. Benham, who was arrested at the DFW Airport for going on a homophobic rage and physically assaulting a man who was wearing a pink shirt.

Anyone know if this guy is related to the Benham brothers? His behavior certainly seems to match their family...

If the Benham brothers are conservative fundie heavies, then I'm going with a definite NO! That man (have you seen the video???) was (and I'll not offer an apology for the stereotype after the way he treated that poor, elderly man) was an overweight, intoxicated (drugs or alchol, or both), white trash ignorant BIGOT who appeared to have no investment in ANYTHING (Christianity, education, etc.) other than extreme self indulgence.

I didn't find anything about this guy (McCleish Christmas Benham!) being related to Flip Benham and the twins, but he sure seems to align with their outlook.

And, since I'm not bound by any rules of good journalism, I will add that he was traveling in Flip's area, and looks like he could be related.

Maybe we'll find out more, in time. But maybe he's just a random asshole who happens to have the same last name.

Guy is from Tennessee and the other Benhams are from Dallas area? Just catching up on details.

I saw in one report that the actor Paul Rudd reportedly is one of the 5 who came to Pink Shirt Guy's aid, tackling the idjit. Wouldn't know Paul Rudd to see him, but yay for him! And for the four non-celebrity tacklers.

I have to correct myself -- Flip Benham and Operation Rescue/Save America used to be in the Dallas/Ft. Worth area, but they moved to Concord NC (I knew the twins were in Concord NC).

I used to be mistaken for Paula Abdul. Not surprising that someone could be mistaken for Paul Rudd. But good to know it wasn't he. I'd've felt a little obliged to watch one of his movies when it came on tv. ;)

The guy in the DFW airport doesn't even remotely resemble the Benham in the second video link above. Not even remotely. :think:
