I used to live very near to where Mikaeel lived - and feet from the polis muster point. I think everyone from the area knew Mikaeel was dead, not lost. Once a 3yo kid has been missing for a day, and there is not a custody issue, that child will not be back alive.

*nod* I thought of her first and how horrible it would be for her.

On another note I am not happy at all about this:

I don't know what the tweet said but I incline strongly to think neither sick jokes nor nasty comments which do not rise to the level of death threats should be prosecuted. They are not very nice, but should not be a criminal offence.

This is so horribly sad. Unfortunately, I do agree that that the first thing I thought was that he wouldn't be found alive. I don't think there are many three year olds who would voluntarily get themselves up in the middle of the night and leave the house in the dark without telling anyone. There had to be something else going on. And it's worrying that they are now saying he hadn't been at nursery since before Christmas. :(
