Don’t Believe In Homosexuality Or Transgender castrate them

Another quality christian that can't seem to follow Christ. Not sure how you castrate a female but as usual only males fit her hateful mind as is usual with such stupid people. Hopefully they kick her worthless ass out. I think these pathetic people love the little bit of power they get from being on a school board.

http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2013/12/0 ... 99324.html

A Colorado school board member who found herself in hot water when she said that transgender students would need to be castrated before the student could use the school bathrooms that fit their gender identity is not backing down from that statement.

According to The Denver Post, Delta County School Board member Kathy Svenson said that she has no regrets and went further to say she doesn't believe in homosexuality or people that are transgender; rather, she believes they are simply confused.

"I was a tomboy growing up. I did a lot of boy things," Svenson said. "I'm lucky someone didn't try to tell me I should be a boy."

Svenson went on to say that she would like to start her own school where laws protecting the rights of gay, lesbian and transgender students wouldn't apply, The Denver Post reports.

On her district bio page, Svenson describes herself as the founder of an evangelical Christian ministry in northern India and volunteer teaches at a local Sunday School and Bible camp.

Messages left for Svenson about her statements were not immediately returned.

"One Colorado supports all transgender and gender non-conforming students being honest about who they are," said Jon Monteith, Communications Director of the state's leading LGBT advocacy group One Colorado, to The Huffington Post, "and that’s why we are committed to serving as a resource for educators, school staff and administrators across our state as they work to make our schools safer for all Colorado youth."

KREX-TV in Grand Junction, Colo. was the first to report on Svenson's remarks about transgender students during an October school board meeting (Listen to audio of Svenson's comments above or watch KREX-TV's interview with her below):

"I would like to pass out something that shows people what is going on in the rest of the country," Svenson said at the school board meeting. "Massachusetts and California have passed laws relating to calling a student, irrespective of his biological gender, letting him perform as the gender he thinks he is, or she is. I just want to emphasize: not in this district. Not until the plumbing's changed. There would have to be castration in order to pass something like that around here."

Svenson was referring to a groundbreaking bill recently signed by California Gov. Jerry Brown that allows transgender youth to use whatever bathroom and participate in whichever sports team they believe matches their gender identity.

Other Delta County school officials have said that they do not agree with Svenson's point of view on the issue and that the school district would never discriminate against any students.

Back in June, Colorado's Civil Rights Division ruled in favor of a transgender students having the right to use the restroom for the gender that they identify as. The ruling involved the case of 6-year-old Coy Mathis, a suburban Colorado Springs girl who was prevented from using the girls' restroom at her school by school district officials.

Last year Vice President Joe Biden said that transgender discrimination is the "civil rights issue of our time," and transgender rights continues to be a new issue for school boards across the nation.

Seventeen states, including Colorado and the District of Columbia, now outlaw discrimination against transgender people.

I really don't understand her logic here. These are kids she's talking about, and she doesn't believe transgenderism is "real." So she's basically saying that if a kid gets confused about their gender they should be castrated. If someone were confused about their gender, wouldn't castration make it worse? It doesn't make any sense.

Although I suppose that I should expect logic from people like this.

Someone obviously removed this woman’s tomboy ‘confusion’ by subjecting her to a lobotomy. That’s the only way it could make sense, even for a fundie, to claim at once that transgender doesn’t exist and also somehow that children who identify as such should be castrated to fit the gender of their choice.

Do genuinely trangdendered people exist or don’t they?

If not, then this woman’s idea of how to apply a non-discrimination law is so stupid it’s not clear whether a diseased brain vomited it up or if she merely scraped the idea from the base of a truck stop toilet.

If so, then, um, again this woman’s idea of how to apply a non-discrimination law is so stupid it’s not clear whether a diseased brain vomited it up or if she merely scraped the idea from the base of a truck stop toilet.

We can dream, can't we?

I, obviously, made the comment in snarky jest, but seriously, this is how so many fundies view the world and it drives me nuts. They seem to feel that if they just don't believe in something, it'll go away- evolution, global warming, sexuality, the earth going round the sun... Honestly one of my least favorite expressions is "Well, I know the experts say this but I believe the opposite" as if the fact that you believe in something gives it equal footing with established fact.

Simple solution: get rid of segregated bathrooms. Our staff bathroom at school is unisex so why not make the kids bathrooms the same. Then there is no argument over what gender you identify as, right? (Haha, I am trying to apply logic to fundies again.)

I am the same way. I hate to argue semantics with these people because there are so many things to argue with them about doctrine, but it rubs me the wrong way. If you don't believe something exists, it doesn't mean anything. What you mean to say is that you don't support civil rights for people who are LGBTQ.

I find this especially annoying when the person is not an expert on the matter. Plenty of studies have been done on Gender Dysmorphic Disorder, but this lady doesn't "believe" in it so I guess all that research is just wrong.

Being a girl who enjoys "male" activities like camping or playing with trucks is 100% never ever comparable to feeling like you're trapped in the wrong body.

I can't believe this lady got to be on a public school board. Good grief.

I think what she is trying to say is that students who identify as transgendered need to have the physical sexual reassignment surgery before they are allowed to claim their new gender for purposes of sports and using the restroom.

I'm not saying I agree with her, but I think she is using the word castration to mean the genital surgery. You would think if this is an issue she's so adamant about she would find out the correct terminology.

After a few months of trying to decide what kind of new computer to get and my brother telling me a Mac would be the best decision I could ever make and my sister telling me that would be the worst and I ought to stick to Windows.... I now have a used Mac. I am trying to get used to it. Not easy, but the Magnifying program is a lot better than the Windows one (that was the ultimate reason for my decision) and FJ works a lot better than on my 10-year old Laptop, too!!

Y'all, holter monitors suck. And naturally the palpitations that caused this test to be ordered are remarkably absent today.
I'm off to go work out in the hopes that triggers it. T minus 10 hours till I get this thing off.

I frigging hate the toilets at this worksite. Specifically the door locks. Stupid little knoblet that isn't clear if it is locked or not. Door opens right off the main hallway and the toilet is just far enough from the door that I can't just hold the door shut in case I've got the lock wrong. I mean really people, how hard is it to design this? I just want to pee in private with no anxiety. Apparently that is too much to ask for.

First thing I'm doing when I get to the hereafter is finding the ancestors who moved to the US in the first place and asking them what the fuck they were thinking moving here in the first place.  Along with giving them an epic the reason you suck speech hopefully in the presence of God and the Lord Jesus Christ Himself to all of them for condemning their descendants to living in a shithole.
