Obama won because he gave poor people gifts

That's a pretty nice poster. :D

I call providing contraceptives good public policy. Forget about human rights and gifts for a sec. How much money do we save to prevent unwanted pregnancies and STDs? It just makes good economic sense. Romney should understand that, given his business background. 8-)

Preach it. Children are expensive, even if you're the sort of person who thinks ttc is nutritious and education is not so much a right as a distraction. Factor in the cost of women being out of the workforce to care for those children (even if it is only a few months per child) and contraception is looking like a pretty sweet deal, not just for individuals, but for society as a whole.

I just don't understand being mandating bad fiscal policy to prove a point. I'm too cheap I guess.

A Final Letter To Mitt Romney

Dear Mitt and Paul,

I wanted to clear something up for you.

I have seen the debate about what went wrong, and why you lost this election. As a voter I want you to know that my voting against you had nothing to do with the fact that you are both rotten people.

It was not because of your crazy religions.

It had nothing to do with Eastwood’s empty chair, or the hurricane, or the liberal media telling me bad things about Bain.

I did not vote against you because I am a minority.

I did not vote against you because I live in an urban area.

I did not vote against you because of the cheese wiz in your veins or the elevators for your cars.

I did not vote against you because you are bullies and bigots.

I did not vote against you because you are rich hypocrites.

It was not because of Chris Christie, or Colin Powell, or Bill Clinton, or Anne Coulter, or Chris Mathews or Rachel Maddow or Meygn Kelly or Jon Stewart or Brian Williams, or anybody on tv.

I didn’t vote against you for any of those reasons because, I didn’t vote against anybody.

I voted for someone.

I voted for a man who brought my childhood friends home from war that they could kiss their wives and tuck their kids in at night.

I voted for a guy who loves New Jersey more than he dislikes Chris Christie.

I voted for the guy who looked in the mirrors of his daughter’s eyes, questioned himself, and changed his mind about marriage equality.

I voted for the guy who called Sandra Fluke and told her that her parents should be proud.

I voted for the guy who honors the women in his life by ensuring them trust to make their own reproductive and health choices and opportunity to work through glass ceilings with equal pay.

I voted for the guy who signed the stimulus that paid for the hearing aids that allowed me to hear my children clearly.

I voted for the guy who gave my sister the ability to buy health insurance in spite of pre existing conditions.

I voted for the guy who picked Joe Biden for a VP. Joe’s love for his country, his willingness to give of himself, his smarts and experience are top notch.

I voted for the guy who was smart enough to put a ring on Michelle Obama’s finger.

Most importantly, I voted for the guy who will continue to place America and what is right for her first.

I trust him.

When he hears a lone voice in a crowd of plenty shout, “I love you!†He shouts, “I love you back!â€

See Mitt, Paul, it’s not you… It’s him.

I did not vote against you.

I voted for Barack Obama.

I voted for Joe Biden.

I voted for Michelle and Sasha and Malia.

I voted in favor of my self and my spouse and our sons and our future.

I voted in favor of the best tomorrow for America available.

You can blame polls, and weather events, and skewed electoral votes and biased media and urban minorities who supposedly want free stuff till you actually turn into the slow moving regressive elephants who represent you if you wish but no manipulating the facts.

You lost not because you are losers but because Barack is a winner.

Sincerely,

Sarah Zacharias

Yes, a thing of beauty that is. I don't always agree with him, but Obama is a good and decent man who wants to do the right thing for Amercans. It took us 40 years, but I think we finally got the sort of president Robert Kennedy would have been.

Thanks for bringing it here.

Utah Senator Orrin Hatch said that Romney lost because the Obama administration trash talked the mormon church. If I remember correctly, the Obama campaign never talked about the mormon church. They even said that talking about Romneys polygamist past was off limits.

Edited to fix spelling of old detached senators name.

Very well put. I voted for him to save Women's Health Care which has been my passion for the 20 years and for Health care for everyone. I will pay higher taxes if they roll back the Bush Taxes, however it is the best for everyone. Count and I have recieved government help to get where we are now, I am willing to reinvest so other people can have the life we have. Mitten and Ryan were fools that is all I can say.

Apparently giving poor people gifts is just the start. Kevin Swanson's take on Democrats is that they have an uber plan to make sure that everyone is committing homosexual acts and is high on drugs.

This sounds fucking amazing. I'm going to lobby for it being official Government policy.

No. You get an Obama SuperVagina™ complete with cape. Obama even comes and installs it himself for you.

So some Republican Congresscritters spent taxpayer money going to this seminar in Georgia in which they were told that President Obama is using mind control to make people obey an evil UN plan of domination. The plan--I think it's called Agenda 21--is a sustainability initiative. You know, trying to ensure that future generations don't starve. The mind control method is called somethingoranother Delphi. Shorn of the bureaucratese, Project(?) Delphi works something like this:

1. Have a problem.

2. Find lots of experts who have fact-based opinions about the problem.

3. Put their opinions into a computer, shake well to combine, and show the results to an expert or three.

4. Give copies of the experts' conclusions to everybody involved in the debate.

5. Take some study time.

6. Now get together and hash out a solution to the problem.

These Republicans are so divorced from reality that when they see fact checking, logical thought, and reasoned debate being used to solve problems, they think it's magical mind control!

So glad Romney lost. SO glad. (And I'm in his target demographic: white middle-aged (lower-)middle-class Christian homeschooling (mostly) stay-at-home mom.) (SO glad.)

Strange words and concepts they don't understand, hence they must be from the devil!

I find the people who go on and on about Agenda 21 to be so bizarre. I think it started with The Blaze/Glen Beck and now it's on local radio almost every day. At first it was just that Coast to Coast conspiracy theory show, then it started popping up everywhere. Over the weekend I heard someone on Glen Beck talking about the evils of bike lanes. It makes no sense. We don't want to create sustainability because? Also, it's voluntary. It's a group of suggestions on how to make communities more sustainable. What is so bad and evil about that?

Because because because, Bike lanes aren't biblical. G-d never talks about bike lanes. Satan created them to distract us from our biblical principles!!1111!!!!!! Eleventy!!

There was a Republican who made a comment to this effect (sorry I don't remember his name or the source or the exact wording): a candidate for president has a problem if the people don't like him but he has a bigger problem if the people think HE does not like THEM.

That is Mitt's problem right there. He keeps making these "gaffes" about the 47% or "gifts" because deep down that is really what he thinks. Everyone, but the people who are rich enough or white enough or Mormon enough or right wing enough are leeches, whores, lazy etc. IMO there is a direct line between this sort of exclusionary thought and religion. As I see it most fundamental religions spend a lot of time and effort excluding people. They like their own kind but do not have the time of day for people who are atheist, other religion, gay, feminist or really anyone they classify as "other".
